I respect your personal decision not to wear such a shirt, although I disagree with your reasons. I presume you would defend my right to decide to wear such a shirt though. [...] it buys into the Western idea that we can do anything we want [...] ... a ...
There is a slight difference between getting fired and getting shot. Arguably the newspaper, as employer, has the right to terminate the employment of someone who offends subscribers and may damage the newspaper's business.
The title of this article was "Charlie Hebdo: ‘… and not give in to fear’". Too late for you by the look if it. I'd do it, but I'd be very careful where I wore it, and would definitely leave it out of my suitcase if travelling overseas.
Would you wear a T shirt with the Charlie Hebdo cover page with Mohammed on it (the one that got them firebombed) in support of free speech and the victims of terrorism? If not why not.
Yep centrist isn't their language. Try Hindi Cantonese or Korean. A lot of the non-voters are recent immigrants. You can't assume that they would all vote Labour.
Well we've got one now anyways. However I don't agree that National is a conservative party. More like neoliberal or just plain old liberal. There is a difference. That is why Craig started his conservative party. 'Cause National wasn't scratching his itch...

You need two things from a leader. 1. The ability to lead the team in parliament. 2. The ability to appeal to the wider electorate. Cunliffe wasn't good at either. He didn't get on with his caucus colleagues and the public just didn't like him. This was ...
That is a symptom, not the cause of Labour's problems in my opinion.
Reviewing the RMA is apparently high up in National's agenda for the next parliamentary term. That should also help boost the Greens to prominence in the opposition as it is exactly their kind of issue.
This is a bit over the top. You pick a minor nit with one of Farrar's articles and work yourself into a frothing fit over it. Farrar actually seems like the sweet voice of reason by comparison. [lprent: You mean like Farrar does? Perhaps you should talk to...
