   What irony ? . It was a Labour government that built the thing. OG just paid a few mill – enough for the carpet to wipe your feet on- so his name went above the door.

   I don’t wonder at it. I was at the Christchurch meeting on Thursday evening and it was a block buster. A real political meeting of passion and ideas. There were so many great questions from the floor that only about a third of those who wanted to say something were able to do so before the three hours was up. The professionals were awesome, and I came out of there convinced that I’d be proud to support whoever the caucus elects to lead us all. Everyone agreed that this whole process has been a great start for our party on the long hard road to victory in 2014 when we’ll take the chance to deal to this criminal bunch once and for all.      Onya mike, fully agree and hope the caucus is listening. Ignore the media and the sewer squawkback, continue with meetings and direct, pro-active promotion of ideas, and above all put the Left first – above any petty, personal ambition. And not just Labour, the Left: forge relationships or perish alone. Too many lives and the entire reputation and future of this once-proud nation depend on it.

     Ditto for Hamilton /Waikato area .An amazing turnout . We need to,take a lesson from this ,Engage the members more and thus win elections.
     Once this term’s leader is chosen its time to consider a new system that gives a leadership vote to all financial members. Its well beyond its time .

   Woohoo can’t wait!
   I on the other hand set up my contribution many years ago and in 07 transfered it into the century fund. This pays for my membership and more.
   After the 08 election I was so annoyed that we were outnumbered with the amount of signs on the roads I increased my contribution 50% to help with money concerns Labour might be having.

   Might not be millions but every bit counts.

   Cunliffe is by far the better candidate for leader, smart and quick on his feet, able to articulate the passion and detail the process. David Shearer may well have some good points but he sounds cringemaking with his ‘I’ve got a good back story’. The NZ way is to catch someone being good. Not hear first hand. Robertson’s a bit boring and long winded….

       Who cares about commentators, they’ll commentate on it whether it’s cast or not and then it’s their thoughts that will mediate what’s said. It’s a pretty important discussion for any left leaning NZer, and a lot of people can’t make it.

       The auditorium has the integrated facilities for it too, not like some random hall.

           Well said C/V.I’m sick to death of these right-wing columnists .bloggers and other Tory plonkers telling Labour people who their Leader should be. Its time they were told mind their own bloody bussines. look after their own parties sordid affairs and their scandals. I like all our members know just who would I like as leader ,however when the result is known He will have my full support ,Its a democratic result and that is how it will be.
