   How Glucina keeps her job is beyond me. This is PR, so blatant it makes me cringe. And she’s wasting her time. You can throw makeup on a corpse but it won’t bring it back to life. Collins is dead career walking.

   Yes and the MSM are hardly objective either. I do not normally do this but this article made me see red. Its from Yahoo News and in my opinion it takes what is a serious issue (dirty politics) and tries to belittle it:

   I think the impact from this set of revelations has pretty much peaked, and Key will be back in God-radiant form for the massive policy reveals at National’s campaign rally coming up.

   All that the left have been given is a smidgen of a chance, when two weeks ago we were pretty much done.

   Foreswear all glee now, and concentrate on preparing to get out the vote.

   Even if there are further “dumps”, This aint Watergate, or Corngate, or any other “gate”. I think the MSM can’t take this much further as a news cycle and will seek and form a new one.

   Key has hardly unleashed any main campaign sweeteners at all.
   Here they come.

   When they do, it’s back to policy v policy, not spy v spy.

     It could change the nature of the coverage, however. If any of National’s policy releases are a bit hum-drum, they might find that they lose pride of place to a piece recycling questions as to what the PM knew. If they relate to local government, they might find that a paragraph appears reading, “Whatever reasons Key gives for this change, eyebrows will be raised after the government ran roughshod over the concerns of Auckland voters when they rammed through the Supercity reforms in 2010. Auckland’s current mayor, Len Brown, fell prey to sustained attacks from National’s attack bloger, Whaleoil after re-election last year. Questions also remain about the Government’s continued refusal to hold elections for a new Regional Council in Canterbury.” Announcements about the police could be similarly linked to the teapot tapes, the Banks case and he sacking of Maurice Williamson. There would also be room for the mention of some irrelevant factoid from four years ago and a reference to “then minister of police Judith Collins”. Tangential references to scandal may now find themselves creeping into any and all coverage of what hte National Party does. That is all the sort of lazily damning coverage that we have come to expect in connection with Labour, but the media may now think that there is a significant hook based on Key’s and the government’s apparent duplicity that would sell more print than other forms of coverage.

     Less laziliy, National may find that, if they run interference on the release of Labour or Green policy, it is reported from the angle of their running dirty politics campaigns, rather than drowning out coveralge of left policy as they intend. Additionally, if the run of current scandal dies down, National may find it replaced with the media filling column inches by finally examining earlier dodgy moves by Key’s government that received little coverage and thus flew under the radar when Key was untouchable. No conspiracy or particular intent by the MSM, just a rational belief that those sorts of stories might garner more viewers and readers than other political coverage.

     I was living in Canada the day the Nixon Watergate affair broke the news and believe me this is a carbon copy and your Leader is pursuing.

     You must not excuse the use of high office surveillance for political gain as Trickie Dickie Nixon did and Key has now been found to be involved in.

     I was 28yrs old when the Watergate break in occurred and everyone we met said what you said ironically,” It isn’t a scandal” but as the dots began to get connected everyone switched to wow the Government is corrupt.

     You wasn’t there and have no idea how these things built up in human reaction terms, as I a kiwi was and astonished how Canadians and US folk switched as soon as the continual purge of more facts cma out as this will, remember this black op’s impact has hurt ba lot of people who now are seeking revenge wouldn’t you?

     Watergate 2 will happen here unless Key doesn’t either come clean and clean the mess up and fire some colluders to purge the demons, or follow Slatergate all the way, count on it.

     They just caught Joyce doing some black op’s on a labour candidate also two days ago, so they need to be culled like cancer or we all are done.
