Key demeans Korean War veterans

The New Zealand veterans of the Korean War got a sharp lesson from John Key yesterday as to what they and their comrades fought and died for: “The South Korean Government is treating New Zealand unfairly, Prime Minister John Key has told Kiwi Korean War veterans as he ramps up pressure for a free trade deal.” Apparently, South Korea ‘owes us’ more milk powder exports for our participation in the Korean War. What a cynical and unbecoming move by our Prime Minister – exploiting the veterans on the 60th anniversary to push his trade agenda.

But the story also quotes this from Key

“Ahead of the trip Key insisted that talks about an FTA were separate from commemorating the war efforts. The veterans would not be used as any kind of “Trojan Horse” to help restart talks, Key said.”

Isnt it amazing that he can talk out both sides of his face at the same time

John Key always contradicts himself and lies. He is a master at SAYING ONE THING but then does the complete opposite by DOING ANOTHER. Just look at the last 2 elections and the bleak results from those bunch of lies..

  7. Roy 7

Key brings the position of Prime Minister, and the whole of New Zealand, into disrepute, and has done since the day he took office.
