Delivery as real as the hair by the look…..

  2. Bill 2

Y’know, given that GST went up and anyone with a student loan is paying paye just below 30% before any 4% or whatever into kiwisaver is taken into account, then it’s fair enough to suggest you wave good-bye to those higher taxes and join your loved ones in hauling arse overseas.

    • Lanthanide 2.1

“Y’know, given that GST went up and anyone with a student loan is paying paye just below 30% before any 4% or whatever into kiwisaver is taken into account”

Well, not strictly. The SL repayment rate is currently 10%, rising to 12%, but the threshold is $19,084 when you have to start paying that. There are also many people with student loans earning in the 30% and 33% tax brackets.

Minimum Kiwisaver is 2%, going to 3% in July I believe. ACC contribution currently 1.7% falling to 1.4% on April 1st.

So if you have a SL and in Kiwisaver, come July you’ll be missing 2.7% of your current after-tax pay.

and yet the majority of voters still believe he has delivered

    • tc 3.1

Nope only enough votes to get them back in, nearly a third didn’t vote at all.

That’s the tragedy that’s still likely to repeat in 2014 with Labour looking unelectable under DS currently and giving the appearance of has been troughers. The nat’s used to look like that till the rebranding around Key was performed.

Bridges, Kaye etc all designed to give that fresh young innovative look even though the agenda’s donkeys years old and they simply front a script.

Style over substance, image over agenda, Key’s right words are cheap, perception wins.

    • The Al1en 3.2

“and yet the majority of voters still believe he has delivered”

Or think Labour have been so poor in opposition, they’re almost unelectable.
If Labour aren’t a 40% party before the next winter break in the house, then they’re probably correct.
Set the figure and live or die by it.
Sell us how big you’re nuts are.

    • aerobubble 3.3

Labour fails to take the economic debate to National, that its tired version of economics has past.

Key plays the child, always needing a hand to learn to walk, stimulating compassion and tolerance where there is none, playing the boy ruler who gets to go to the south pole, gets to make a hash of himself on radio, heel even makes no sense calling one of the most financially well off foot players a moron. Its distraction and its pandering by the media who love Key, he’s their child king.

  4. bad12 4

Love that pic, it should be titled the Prime Minister moves into His new office…

  5. bad12 5

Does He ever stop tho, the Slippery little Shyster we have as the Prime Minister who when He tires of attempting to turn the Office of Prime Minister into a laughing stock reverts instead to establishing a regime that resembles nothing more than the shack to be found upon any back-street used car sales yard in any small New Zealand town,

Yesterdays effort was directed at talking absolute SHIT to those gathered at Ratana Pa for the annual Ratana Hui,

Slippery the Prime Minister having had His ego severely pricked by the warm words of welcome given to Green Party co-leader Metiria Turei along with the wishes of Ratana elders to see a Labour/Green coalition after the 2014 election took to haranguing the whole Ratana movement over what He said was the National Party policy of insulating homes,

Does He ever stop tho, LYING through His teeth, we all know as do the elders of Ratana Pa that the home insulation policy came about via an agreement between the Green Party and the previous Labour Government,

National would rather inflict grievous wounds to it’s nether regions than spend monies to insulate the homes occupied by the poorest of the poor and owned by the state, and the only reason the Slippery lead National Government carried on the home heating program is that the contracts for the work were already signed and it would have cost a fortune and cost a s**t-load of cash for the incoming National Government to cancel those contracts…

    • tc 5.1

haven’t they killed the insulation program off now though. Spoke to someone that said they couldn’t get it anymore as they were after the cut off.

Watch them flog it off over 2013, MRP and anything else they can get their hands on.

  6. Colonial Weka 6

Best not forget, Key IS delivering, just to his masters instead of us.

  7. vto 7

Key is the epitome of society’s modus operandi today. Incremental changes over the last 30 years or so of individualism and me me meeee and greed is good. Fake it ’til you make it. Imbues everything, especially here in Chch where the number of pretend wannabe’s have taken on this mantra with gusto.

    It is hardly surprising givent the following examples of recent poor humanity;

Bill English says the goovt does not have the mandate or local knowledge to step in to help house those without a home in Auckland yet does the opposite in Canterbury. Liar and deceiver.

David Carter cannot even look his city in the eye when announcing the reasons for the continuing coup in Canterbury. Deception writ large across his forehead.

The entire government says no to the previous approach of picking winners for govt assistance as the “market knows best” yet here is David Carter saying “”it is appropriate for the Government to take a bridging investment role to ensure the right projects can get underway” in giving $400,000,000 to farmers businesses. Lies, complete and utter sellout and hypocrisy.

Lance Armstrong commits the biggest fraud in sports history.

School principals in west Chch deny poaching pupils from east Chch schools, despite the practice going on since the first four silly ships arrived.

    “We wont put up GST”

Brownlee the Bolshy one just pushes and shoves his way around Chch abusing people left right and centre.

Nick Smith manipulates ACC figures to suit their political agenda.

    John Banks lies.

    John Key lies.

Oh and of course the police ad GCSB are always getting hauled up for illegal activites. The haul being a few meagre words and then straight back into it.

People get told absolute bullshit by CERA and by EQC in Chch and don’t even get started on the bullshit that comes out of the insurance companies.

You see, all of this has been boiling away for some time and across a few governments. It has now reached its zenith with John Key the dodgy money trader. Who thinks he has gone about his previous money-trading “career” in a completely honest fashion? How many times would he have simpply lied to pull a deal together?

This approach to life is now heavily embedded in our ways. We see it in Chch with people giving authority the middle finger and building without consent, for example. We see it in the lack os respect for police – how many beatings were there over the break? Where has that attitude come from and why?

Look to the ‘leader’ folks. He is the epitomy of “you aint a criminal until you get caught” and the gold medal holder for the “fake it until you make it” approach.

    Somebody tell me otherwise.
