    Regarding the Foreshore debate. Anyone throw light on Shipwreck Bay at Ahipara as apparently now off limits?

      I googled it and there was a Maori television program at the end of October about surfers going round the country where Shipwreck Bay was mentioned as being a good place to go.

        A couple of tourists there last week reported that there is now a gate on the beach access and there is a charge to get through…

    Other places have trouble cleaning up their chronic overpayments to people in sinecures.
    In California there are numbers of individuals being paid about $100,000 for serving on organisations that require only two meetings a month. A politician put forward a motion to revise this which was turned down flat!
