A group called PublicZone have just released an iPhone app aimed at staying in contact with (UK) MPs a little easier.
The app uses the GPS, email and web capabilites of the iPhone to allow constituents to track, contact and discuss issues with their local MP.

See I’m not sure I’d call this stalking as such. There’s nothing creepy in it from what I can see. But what Whaleoil has instigated (unsuccessfully), encouraging people to actually stalk MPs, that is deeply uncool.
Sounds brilliant, though I’m not sure how you “see their recent activity on a map of your constituency”? Through some sort of GPS? Best turn off the phone before heading to the brothel then…
I’d like to know more about the technology that underlies this, and whether it would be adaptable to NZ. Anyone??
