I’ll confess I had felt an inkling of sympathy for Richard Prosser over the “wogistan” comments. Not for the comments themselves of course but because I imagined he was simply a bigoted buffoon who had brought a whole lot of strife down on himself with some naive and stupid remarks.
Then I read his article in which he boasts of the Norse and Celtic heritage of his children (seriously, that shit is right out of Mein Kampf) and read this excerpt from his book:
If people want to be weak, stupid, effeminate, erectile dysfunctional, naïve, apologist, namby-pamby, thumb-sucking, lefty pinko fantasy-land morons, let them find their own word for themselves, and leave “liberal” for us genuine freedom-loving, gonad-equipped, libertarian go-getters.
At which point I realised that he actually holds quite well formed proto-fascist views and knew and meant exactly what he wrote in investigate. With this in mind I decided to go to the Aro community hall yesterday to join other namby-pamby, thumb-sucking, lefty pinkos in expressing a distinct lack of tolerance toward fascism.
But alas Mr Prosser is not sufficiently “gonad-equipped” to deal with a few weak, stupid, effeminate thumb-suckers. It seems that like most of these tea-party types Mr Prosser is all mouth and trousers. So much for go getting, eh? Perhaps he should get up and go from parliament and not come back.

NZ First was essentially National’s economic ‘wets’ split off from that party. Red Tory Muldoonist interventionist protectionists. Those who used to vote National but supported things like publicly funded health care, education, and other public services, and belive that the State had a role in building things like roads, railway lines, power grids and communications networks.
They paid taxes but got looked after in times of need in return.
That was an era when National and Labour were pretty much the same — in their commitment to a centrally planned, protected economy, full employment, with a high level of public ownership and public services.
