On Agenda on Saturday English admitted that the Nats will consider selling parts of New Zealand’s state owned enterprises. In response, Clayton Cosgrove got stuck in first and the PM’s now in on the act too.
This is the second big headache for the Nats that Bill has caused recently. First it was cuts to Superannuation and now the truth on their privatisation agenda.
Don’t be fooled by appearances though – Bill’s a cunning politician, someone who understands that these ideas are politically untenable with the electorate.
Why then would he raise them so publicly? I can’t help but think that he’s out to subtly destabilise Key.
