I have watched a few clips of the latest republican “debate” with a backdrop of the Airforce 1 plane! ( I think that is the image to which it alludes?)
Donald Trump is now being targeted by all-comers for the Republican race. He provides plenty of ammunition that’s for sure. So, how to bring him down in the polls and increase the Republican chances of gaining the presidency?
Lies and deceptions. The latest such effort comes from Carly Fiorina and RNZ in our corner of the world assisted.
Fiorina claims an appalling act of money-making by Planned Parenthood. “Watch the video” she extols. Gordon Campbell sums up;
when she urged listeners to view a video that allegedly shows the Planned Parenthood organization discussing how to profit from the organ harvesting of aborted fetuses.
The video she points to with outrage and indignation on behalf of vulnerable everywhere? It’s a deception.
An easily revealed hoax in fact. But RNZ, and others around the world and in the USA simply reported her outrage and her version of events.
So, its is not that the voters are idiots, as some suggest the Left are claiming, it is that the Right deliberately lie and mislead to get a vote, on false pretenses. It is the Right who constantly treats voters as gullible idiots, And a media, strangled by shrinking budgets and reduced personnel with less and less time to research rather than regurgitate. Couple that with an increase in non-journalists hogging the space set aside for reporting and elucidating news events… what chance the voter?
What better way than using poor defenseless unborn little fetuses?
Is the answer to counter lies with the left’s own lies to continue the cycle, or to find a way to break the cycle?

UPDATE: In an extraordinary irony, Trump has criticised Fiorina’s business record and acumen. On the one hand who would know better how to spot business failures?… on the other hand he is the highest polling candidate despite his business failings while hers are being rehashed in article after article in business and finance publications to sink her candidacy.
