And in America you get the feeling that maybe the reign of Donald Trump is reaching its denouement.
The brave man who used bone spurs to get out of serving in the Vietnam War was holed up in a White House Bunker to escape the wrath that the killing of George Floyd has caused.
And the much promised wall is finally being built. But instead of stopping Mexicans from entering America it is to stop Americans entering the White House.
And Trump’s use of a bible as a piece of propaganda has been met with this stinging rebuke from Al Sharpton.
Although the incident could be offered as proof that there is not a God. Otherwise why wasn’t Trump hit with multiple bolts of lightning. If that had happened imagine what it would have done to fundamentalists’ belief systems. And using tear gas or its equivalent to move protestors away from a church for a photo op with a bible is a new low even him.
And the armed forces are backing away from the idea that they could be used against peaceful protestors.
Every week I seem to say that I could not imagine Trump getting worse. I said that again this week.
