   It puzzles me that the two runaway woman with forged docs travelled to northland for whatever their occupation, and got discovered, but then one got caught but the other got arrested in auckland. That says to me that she crossed the border going north which was detected and then travelled south, undetected.

   I think we are owed an explanation as to just how slack our borders are

   Just from a personal opinion point of view.

   And TBF I haven't seen Ardern using the term. She says "dose".

   And partly because I am sick to death of the get vaccinated message at what now seems like every fricken hour.

   I think if we want to get some of the more freaked out people in the community about the being vaccinated. Govt, media, oppo'. Get together and stop saying the word "jab".

   Say first inoculation (might be wrong word), vaccination, and stop the stupid catchy "jab" slogans.

   Edit: Had mine btw. Just seems an obvious thing to do for me in places with low vaccination rates and lots of weirdos with knives

     I can't understand why people are being "freaked out" in the first place. We've all been vaccinated against all manner of diseases for decades and decades. Why should this one be any different? It makes no sense.

       Couple of things with that.

       With the poorer places. Personally again think it might be a lack of trust with never ending line of govts that don't do much for them. And I know I got slagged off. That Jab wording.

       The less poor sitting on the fence I actually was for a bit (believe me. I am not rich. Just on a home) as a bit rushed that thing, but I happen to have a vulnerable partner so it wasn't really a choice. Just did it twice.

       First one I was spewing for 24-48 hours and couldn't even hold down water without bithing. Second fine. Nothing.

       Which brings up the other one. Being scared of side affects that proably wont happen. Think I am probably just a weirdo tbh or it coincided with a bug.

       And then you have anti-vaxers.

       Cant see them changing

       Edit: If Iwas to write down the amount of times I have heard “The second one knocked me for 6” or similar I would need a pad with a lot of pages. Which probably explains the people getting one but not the second

         That's the first time someone has actually talked about what people are thinking and why they feel scared. Your experience might have coincided with a bug because I am recovering from a similar one although more the other end. 🙁 Hence the reason I'm up at some ungodly hour in the morning. Not to do with any vaccination. I was 'done' some time ago.

         By and large, the side effects have been exaggerated. I had a sore arm which lasted about 24 hours for the first dose and nothing for the second. And apart from one person feeling fatigued for a short time after the second dose, nobody I know has been affected in any way apart from the odd sore arm which is common to all vaccinations.

         It's so typical of many people. Drama queens who can't resist adding a bit of spice to their experience because it attracts attention to themselves.

     lol, totally agree about the word jab. Not quite as bad, but it would be like a mass communications push to get people to the dentist, and calling it the murder house.

     Am surprised that MoH and good communicator Ardern are using the word.

   I called it” stabbed or stabbing “ when I turned up at the stabboria. Nobody batted an eyelid and it’s not even a tough town. But you are right for once Chris, jab is a stupid bloody word if you want to encourage the tentative.

       The 'jabattoir' is clever, but it's a pity much of the cleverness has an anti-vax taint.

       Hope this comment isn't representative of the imaginings of the vaccine hesitant.

       Strange how all this Covid nonsense came about when big players in the worlds politics were getting caught for being involved with Jeff Epstein. People like Prince Andrew etc you hear nothing of this anymore.

   If the big problem is about what it's called, "dose," "get vaccinated," "jab," or "inoculation" we are stuffed anyway.

   Just get everyone to get it done. Get an injection even, or a prick. Just do it.

     I never said it was a big problem.

     I meant some of the people sensitive to getting it might be better served by using more positive terms for it given the areas low vaccinated.

     You don't have to agree or give a shit.

     But thought the idea was to try to get as many people as possible vaccinated.

         Not being funny but it would probably work for not just the poor but most unvaccinated people, except for the mega rich and work out cheaper in the long run given weekly wage supplemement costs.

   The problem is the govt has to give a goal or it is pointless.

   They need to say what pople get for actually vaccinating and a target to get your freedom or it is utterly pointless.

   "When we get to 90% we can make some changes" while finally admitting there is a percentage. It is shit if businesses and the public don't know the changes to plan there are.

   Edit: It is like pilling teeth. How many cases mean this level. Of those cases how many unlinked mean it will be this level. If they can all be linked what is the level with the first number.

   Has to be the most patronising lot ever
