Hickey doing the Govs and oppositions job for them….one has to wonder why coherent thought processes have to come from without of the political arena….are they really all that incompetent in Parliament?

    This is absolutely delightful/HILLARIOUS:

The Donald’s first ad-attack on Hillary.

Just goes to show what you can do with a bit of well-targeted money, eh?

So, Fontera went to their bank asking to up the overdraft so they can cover operating cashflow (pay the contractors) and the bank said don’t pay your suppliers. I’ve had my ex bank manager say that to me, so they can think that way. Fontera informs suppliers and the shit his the fan. Fontera gets overdraft.

Followed by denials that it ever happened. Obviously it was communicated verbally, could get messy if it’s in writing somewhere.

      • ianmac 4.1.1

In writing it says await payment 61 days after the month of the date of the invoice. So if the date is say 1 March that gives 31+ 61days = 91 days. But Fonterra denies that now.
Those blokes are paid hundreds of thousands of dollars because they are the best. Huh!

Andrew Little wasn’t the only victim of distraction politics / rat-fucking over the last couple of days.

    http://www.stuff.co.nz/travel/news/77806483/cap-tourists-and-development-to-keep-arrowtown-special–sir-michael-hill

Michael Hill got a good pasting on Stuff for being honest about Arrowtown and upsetting the developer class. They had to close comments after 325

The background is a District Plan review down here and the 10 yearly tussle between landscape protection and rampant development.

    • aerobubble 5.1

Developers who want to build in the most expensive places are fools, the best reurns are from the largest gap between buying low selling high.

Build a new centre south of the auckland airport, similarly build a new airport and town south of that own south of the homer tunnel te anhoo.

The housing sector is like all the bait and switch economy in nz, speculators talking up the price of assets they already own.

  5. Graeme 6

Just re-read the Henry piece, Paravicini’s hedging on someone down the chain doing it.

That’s the corporate way, the boss is always right, even when he does a back flip and the minions take one for the boss.

    • aerobubble 6.1

Yeah, and its like the nazi party, everyone in lockstep behind the mantra of proft abive all else, be the best individual you can be, and dint look up fir the bigger picture as you’ll be set upon. Socialism for the rich, fascim for the poor, welcome to the conservatie revolution aka Thatcher. On your bike, oh and thank you very much for that private boardroom rich socialist job, they were all doing it, still are. When we all march the same way capitalism fails because all we doing is screw each other for the profit and externsluze more and more of the costs. A balanced capitalism requires everyone to carry the cost in aggregate, but when the rich dont, dont pay progressive taxes, when fascism advocates routine drival on about flat taxes etc, you know its all going to end bad for us all. Neo-lib is just fascism for the poor.

    Rocks and hard places.

What does it mean to be a radical feminist woman who does not support Hillary because of her record, all the while knowing she would not be where she is with Bernie’s record as her own?

I see Matthew Hooton has been frothing on Twitter over Andrew Little recently… I’m beginning to wonder if Hooton’s suffering from Little Derangement Syndrome.

In many ways, I feel sorry for him.
When you’ve sold your soul for a few dollars, your conscience catches up with you one day.

      • Sacha 8.1.1

When your soul was willingly pre-pledged, the thousands in fees are easier to bear.

        • aerobubble 8.1.1.1

The really funny thing is all those regulations they want to do away with, had to be put in to law at sometime, and guess who that was, wealth. The incentives that push wealth to deregulate and so capture money flows, have changed, we are now looking at a world were re-regulation pushes money flows into the hands of wealthly people. Govt has always be the influence peddler, the biggest whore in town, its people like Hooten who are out if touch.
