Commenting on the John Key teapot tapes, Michael Laws on Radio Live advocated shooting journalists in the Herald on Sunday. He said:
Talking about journalists on his show on Friday, Mr Laws said: “If I had a gun I’d shoot them, put them out of their misery, because they have gone rabid and they may infect others.” He continued: “The Herald on Sunday for example, which is rabid all the time. No idea why somebody hasn’t taken the shotgun there and just cleaned out the entire newsroom.”
Section 174 of the Crimes Act reads as follows:
Every one is liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 10 years who incites, counsels, or attempts to procure any person to murder any other person in New Zealand, when that murder is not in fact committed.
While the police are executing a search warrant at the Herald on Sunday at John Key’s request, perhaps they might be able to spare the time to follow up this issue? Preventing violence is much more important than protecting the Banks/Key plot for Epsom.
