What corroborating evidence has he or his staff sought to confirm Banks statement, particularly as more irregularities and contradictions have emerged?
Ethical and legal behaviour are both requirements of ministers in the Cabinet Manual – Key is happy to apply a legal standard to Banks’ behaviour before he became a minister but says the ethical standard only applies after he became minister (conceding unethical behaviour prior), why the disconnect?
Why was he happy for ethical standards to be applied to the behaviour of Pansy Wong before she was a minister but not to John Banks?
