Thanks Stephen. We have no cats but a couple stroll through as though they own the place. However, the sparrows who usually fly by or squat on nearby roofs are absent. I went on a 19 km bike ride today and watched out and saw but one. (I live in Blenheim ...
Sparrows. Lately the usually prolific sparrows have disappeared. Bread tossed on the lawn stays until it rots. Has anyone else lost their sparrows. If they have died out then that would be a serious warning about food chains etc.
I ended mine with "Cease and Desist."
And funny how Seymour has managed to get more kids back to school with a plan about sicknes V attendance. No surprises there. https://www.1news.co.nz/2024/04/17/too-sick-for-school-govts-new-advice-for-assessing-a-sniffle/?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=...
Funny that Erica has found the need to employ contractors to redeploy curriculum rewrite. After 3 minutes. Not contractors but "Short Term Sprint Group People." https://www.rnz.co.nz/audio/player?audio_id=2018934767
Sounds good Stuff. Thinking last night that TV1 news is very small as real news would be lucky to fill 15 minutes. The rest is fluffy ducks, promoting Luxon or Sport.
I like and look forward to all your commentary. And have never thought that you were offensive to anyone. Please keep 'em coming.
Or a reduction of transparency?
Thanks Traveller. It is downright difficult to manage. Clunky? Yep.
Will Landlords choose a less desirable potential risk as a tenant, or one who looks promising/reliable/tidy/well/off? Mr Landlord will look at the 50 would-be tenants and take a chance on the least promising. Yeah! Right!
Bernard Hickey and Cathrine Dyer from The Kākā by Bernard Hickey <thekaka+the-kaka-project@substack.com> Bernard has published an alarming paper on the "Antarctic heat spike." No doubt Luxon will appoint a new committee who will find that the slight ...
Has anyone asked the Seymour expert just how exactly will publishing attendance figures reduce absenteeism?
Parliament On Demand have changed the layout. To me the new is about 50% the user friendlieness as before. Finding a particular question on a particular day is hard. Can't easily skip the less interesting questions. Progress of sorts - I suppose.
Question Time on Demand today seems stuck on 28 March. Anyone else get it?
I think that Finland does not allow any form of private schools but expects that every state school is of the highest standard and funds it accordingly.
Seymour was an advocate for voucher schools I think.
How sad for Mr Luxon. He was entitled after all. Interesting to read the lines prepared by staff and the way he can't deviate or ad lib.
Interesting that Act + NZF combined is less than the Greens.
Four of the first 5 Questions today are aimed at the PM. 10 points for each time the PM answers a question. Nil points are expected.
Me Me. I'll vote for you because you are a visionary and a doer.
It is ominous that this Government cuts data collection so I guess that they can claim that there is no problem, in say Child Poverty. Sharon Brettkelly writes; The uncertain future of two comprehensive studies on children and poverty has sparked fears ...
Hypocritical Brown. "We have got rid of those awful Labour fiends so that you Councils can make your own decisions." "You Councils are stupid and just aren't capable of making your own decisions so we will undo all your wrong decisions and put you all in ...
Morgan Poll: National/ ACT/ NZ First (56%) increase lead over Labour/ Greens/ Maori on 40.5% – now at 15.5% points (up 1.5%) Support for National was up 2.5% to 38%, but support for ACT decreased 0.5% points to 11.5% and support for NZ First was down 1% to...
From Stephen @ No 14. Luckily the "senior political" man is innocent unless proven guilty. Oh no! Unless you are in the Green Party whereby even an allegation is "proof" of a crime. Just as well David Farrar is busy pushing the guilt, otherwise we would ...
Which is it Nicola? Theatre or ignorance? Looming gloom with the Economy has Liam Dann exploring the year ahead. Is the Government’s shock about this “worse than expected” economy political theatre or just ignorance? It has to be the former, surely. I ...
The cancer plan implies that previously nobody cared about the failures, yet everyone in the Health sector cared muchly but lacked the resources to act quickly. Wonder where the new Government will get the expert people from to enact their bold plan?
That springs out as us. Great mac1.
Yes Kay. I knew of the peers of my sons at University whose rich parents had their income screwed down to less than $60,000 so that their kids were eligible for the Student Allowance instead of Student loan. And in one case they bought a house for them to ...
The whole story needs exposure. Guyon Espiner? Nicky Hager? Though the bastards who demolished Jacinda are well used to destroying any who might tickle the dark plan of the puppet masters using Luxon.
Thanks Shanreagh. Illuminating. Your words help explain a lot of Luxon's apparent disdain for the workers and we the people.
Destiny Church bikers will continue to wear their Tu Tangata leather vests because “they are korowai, not gang patches”, says church matriarch Hannah Tamaki. New legislation on Monday outlawed the wearing of gang patches in public, and offenders who break...
