While I was in the windy1, freezing2, city with a transport system that almost made me weep with envy3, someone gave me this following event and asked me to put it up on The Standard.
Anyone interested in issues such as asset sales, corporate tax avoidance, GCSB surveillance and the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement would be well advised to head along to see Murray Horton this Wednesday.
His talks are always lively and informative – if you can keep up with his frenetic pace.
Murray Horton is the organiser/secretary for the Campaign Against Foreign Control of Aotearoa and the Anti Bases Campaign, and as he has done in the past he is doing an extensive election year speaking tour.
His Wellington event is this Wednesday May 28, 6pm-7.30, Main Hall, St Johns in the City, cnr Willis & Dixon Sts.

I’d agree about Horton. Hate what he says or not, it will be interesting. I’m going to miss this as I am flying back to the comparative warmth of Auckland. So could someone send me the whole itinerary?
1. I swear that plane tip touched water on Sunday. There was cheering after we landed. See video click-bait below. The first flight on the video with the wobbling wings was what it felt like from the inside.
2. I dragged my Invercargill cloak down. It turns out I should have also taken the down London undercloak sleeping bag.
3. Oh – that train system. No fuss, no bother. I have to find an excuse to go riding on the electrics in Auckland. Fortunately the conversation went to snapper card. The envy went the other way after I explained what the AT Hop card does. Turns out that in the greater Wellington area, you carry multiple cards. I though that type of crap went out with snapper cards. Then it turned out he had a Snapper card 🙂
