Join our street marches around New Zealand – Saturday 13 April
Educators all over the country will be taking to the streets on 13 April to stand up for kids and protect our schools – and we’d like your support. The Government’s GERM agenda – privatising public education, setting up competition and creating winner and loser schools – would be disastrous for our children and our communities.
Whether it comes in the form of the hasty mergers and closure of schools in Christchurch, the introduction of charter schools that don’t have to employ qualified teachers, or the implementation of flawed and dodgy National Standards, the GERM threatens our quality public education systems. Educators, parents and all those interested in defending our good local schools will be out on 13 April. Please join us.
