Trump sacks Bolton – oil price nosedives!

This has been rumoured for some time now. It’s good news – peace now has a chance, as Trump has woken up to the fact that a shooting war would not be good for his re-election. Also Bolton’s hard-line strategy was failing everywhere.
Iran is on the front foot, linking to Russia and China; regime change in Venezuela is a botch-up; Russia has sorted out ISIS and Syria and Trump would like to keep on talking to North Korea.
Immediately on the announcement the oil price took a dive. Less chance of Gulf war.
Bolton is a nasty bully, an advocate for bombing countries like Iran to destruction. A chickenhawk who avoided active military service, he was a feared committee warrior. Now found out, he will turn on Trump. But he will have few friends.
Good riddance.
