The Donald is on a roll. He is ready to rid America of the scourge that is Obamacare.

What is Obamacare? It is a communist inspired plot to sap America of its greatness. The technique that it uses is completely unamerican. It depends on healthy Americans contributing to the cost of other Americans who are having problems with their hearth.

So in its place the Republicans have proposed a new Act, titled the American Health Care Act. What does it achieve? From the Washington Post:

House Republicans’ proposal to rewrite federal health-care law would more than reverse the gains the Affordable Care Act has made in the number of Americans with health insurance, while curbing the federal deficit, according to a widely anticipated forecast by congressional analysts.

The analysis, released late Monday afternoon by the Congressional Budget Office, predicts that 24 million fewer people would have coverage a decade from now than if the Affordable Care Act remains intact, nearly doubling the share of Americans who are uninsured from 10 percent to 19 percent. The office projects the number of uninsured people would jump 14 million after the first year

But the GOP legislation, which has been speeding through House committees since it was introduced a week ago, would lower the deficit by $337 billion during that time, primarily by lessening spending on Medicaid and government aid for people buying health plans on their own.

The report predicted that premiums would be 15 percent to 20 percent higher in the first year compared with those under the Affordable Care Act but 10 percent lower on average after 2026. By and large, older Americans would pay “substantially” more and younger Americans less.

And get this! There is a tax cut for the rich. And the richer you are the bigger the tax cut. From CNBC:

The proposed repeal of taxes that were put in place to fund Obamacare would give America’s top earners the biggest tax cut.

According to an analysis by the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center, the health-care bill introduced by House Republicans last week would give the top 1 percent of earners a cut worth about 2 percent of their after-tax incomes. That shakes out to an average of $37,240 per year. The Tax Policy center defines the top 1 percent of Americans as those making more than $772,000.

The top 0.1 percent of earners, those making $3.9 million or more, would fare even better. They would see their taxes cut by 2.6 percent, or an average $207,390.

The middle 20 percent of earners, who make between $52,600 and $89,400, would see a tax cut of just 0.5 percent — or about $300 a year. The lowest earners, or those in the bottom 20 percent, would receive an average reduction of $150, or 0.9 percent.

And those faring the worst are Trump supporters. From the New York Times:

The people who stand to lose the most in tax credits under the House Republican health plan tended to support Donald J. Trump over Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election, according to a new Upshot analysis.

Over all, voters who would be eligible for a tax credit that would be at least $1,000 smaller than the subsidy they’re eligible for under Obamacare supported Mr. Trump over Hillary Clinton by a seven-point margin.

The voters hit the hardest — eligible for at least $5,000 less in tax credits under the Republican plan — supported Mr. Trump by a margin of 59 percent to 36 percent.

Take that suckers.

Obamacare was shit. Just look at all the instances where people’s insurance has tripled over the last year and who can no longer afford it. It was a disaster.

    In the style of our dear prime minister I have some anecdotal evidence. 😉
    I have several friends in the states, for this post I will use 2 of them, 1 a doctor the other a linesman for a telephone company.
    
    1. Our doctor is well qualified in their field and had to relocate. She got a job in a Govt facility on a trial that involved only part time employment. The trial period came and went with no communication in regards to the result. When a query was lodged she was told her trial period had indeed finished and she could stay on with “part time” conditions. Now although working a normal doctors 84 hour week, as soon as they are put on full time they are entitled to health care. She is still employed on a part time basis some 3 years later.
    
    2. Our linesman was in the same boat. He approached his boss inre a full time position. In time he got his full time contract minus the health cover. He complained, his boss was fined and he still got no health care. Turns out that the initial fine costs far less than it did to provide health cover, said fine is also discounted in various ways. he is still without health care. he had an accident at work, could not afford a doctor or medication. he is now no better off than a junky with a job. Self medicating, he can buy his pain killers for far less on the street than he can get them from licit means.
    
    While I see that the medicaid plan the Don is rolling out to be a total crock of shit, I also understand that Obama’s plan has served to undermine employment conditions and provide no more security than previous plans had.

My own name for this ridiculous “Health Care” Plan* rolled out by the Republicans – who, by the way, have had 8 years to think about it, and get it “right” would be:
“TrumpDoesn’tCare”

Not even sure how much this plan can be attributed to President Trump as distinct from the GOP and the Congress majority.

This, together with the failure of his Obama wiretapping accusation, and the Courts further stopping his immigration policy, will keep his approval ratings continuing right through the 40% barrier, and head to 30%.
