Uncowed

Shh. Hear that sound? It’s National’s mud throwing machine gearing up again.

Inevitably, they’ve released Labour’s ministers’ spending. No evidence of any rort but the big numbers work into the media narrative. It’s all about taking the focus off ministers ripping us off by taking allowances they shouldn’t and making it ‘gosh, everyone spends lots huh?’.

Labour can take care of itself. But private citizens who have to watch out.

Robyn Hambleton, who led the protest against National’s cuts to adult community education. Julie Baker, whose daughter Britteny has become the face of those who are suffering from National’s cuts to special needs education assistance. Will they be the next targets of National’s smears?

Don’t put it past this lot. If Tolley feels too embarrassed by the public seeing the human effects of their actions, she’ll go after them. To bully them and others into silence. Just like Bennett did with Key’s blessing.

Anyone who dares stand up to them risks having their personal affairs splashed in the media by Key and his mates. Unfortunately for National, they’ve grossly underestimated the courage and determination of ordinary Kiwis to stand up to bullies.
