While avoiding the noise pollution from Eden Park over the gully last night, I found C4 playing a sequence of unfortunately named bands… After watching something called Death cabs for Cutie, they played something from Bush.
Despite their unfortunate name, which admittedly is enough to put anyone with any intelligence off listening to them, this is a great band from the 90’s. Intelligent head-banger music, suitable for both programming and waking up in the morning to.
From 2007-2008, here is my first track on the morning music track “Everything Zen”. I have no idea why it worked, but the fractured lyrics and async instrumentation would force my mind to waking state faster than anything else I’ve ever tried*
