What is the bet that Slater gets it wrong?

Apparently Cameron Slater is going to “out” the identity of who got the emails off his system. What is the bet that he has it wrong – again?

His track record is that he virtually always gets it wrong when he “outs” people. Look at his “outing” of Simon Pleasants – wrong. And he is always wrong on our authors.

So far he has outed DotCom for this break in. Yeah right…. Next up is ?

Poor bugger. The stats on that reeking stupid fuckwit Cameron Slater is that he will pick the wrong person. I hope that someone competent has been hand holding the gibbering child. It’d be better if it was accurate for a change.

Updated: Yep. It is all DotCom’s friends provided by an txt from DotCom to ex-employee Wayne Tempuro that refers to ? Well nothing much. It reads to me like something related to his case against the state.

    Vote Positive, indeed!

    • lprent 1.1

That is the slogan of the Labour party. I am not the Labour party.

I am a member of Labour, which means to remain a member that I will pay a membership fee of about $20. However I will be party voting Green this year as Labour lost my party vote at the conference in 2012. I will be voting for the Labour candidate in my electorate David Shearer – the irony is overwhelming.

I write my opinions. Now that will all be hard for you to understand because you clearly are a Moran who never thinks. A perfect right wing fool.

BTW: I don’t tolerate unthinking fools well. I like to torment them. If you don’t like it, then toughen up.

You are taking yourself too seriously again.

    • Will you admit that Slater is barking mad?

in other words, sly randian doesn’t care if the national govt is full of dirty lying cheats because the sun shines from the rectum of jkey and slater

  3. TheContrarian 3

I couldn’t see anything in those text that was in any way revealing to this particular case. So far nothing from Whale that links Dotcom to Hager.

Though, just as an aside, if it transpired that it was Dotcom or flunkies related to Dotcom, that would certainly shake things up even more.

These last few days have been very popcorn worthy.

    • I thought I heard Hager say that the actual hacker is planning to release the emails himself in the near future.

What’s Slugula going to say when it isn’t KDC?

    • mickysavage 3.2

I couldn’t see anything in those text that was in any way revealing to this particular case.

In fact I read it the opposite. In the most “incriminating” texts Dotcom says they have been “collecting evidence and witnesses for 3 months. I hired professionals to get me information. We are preparing a case against everyone involved.”

Slater’s hypothesis is that Dotcom would hack his server, steal his emails and then front up to court with them expecting to use them as evidence.

      How likely is that?

      As if …

      • Anne 3.2.1

People like Slater tend to assume everyone would behave the same way they do…

      • Tracey 3.2.2

if that were true dotcom is paying too much for his lawyers. I suspect slater isnt paying enough cos he knows everything.

      • Yoyo 3.2.3

Perhaps that’s why Nicky was required by whoever did it – to put the emails in the public domain – thereby allowing them to be used by whoever they were useful to?

      • grumpystilskin 3.2.4

What if the KDC email/txt refers to the event on the 15th, not the current shenanagins?

  4. Ant 4

Slater is desperate, wonder if the journos will fall for it?

    • ropata 4.1

Maybe not, even John Armstrong seems pretty pissed off with Slater and Nat’s deceptive shenanigans. Took long enough but they might be waking up..

      • Vaughan Little 4.1.1

I read Armstrong as telling Key his best chance of getting National through this to an election victory is the purging of Ede.

    • Tracey 4.2

it depends on which journos slater has dirt on as to what follows methinks

  5. outofbed 5

So he admits the emails were stolen
    So therefore, they exist
If they exist, Collins must resign immediately

    • Picard110 5.1

That would require slater to admit he is a liar. Despite anyone with a brain knowing Cameron slater is a massive liar and attack dog for national, he won’t admit the emails are real, even if in the same breath he says they were stolen from him.

  6. Salsy 6

Who is the Phil he is referring to?

  7. Heather Tanguay 7

The plot thickens, and what a dirty messy plot. I am well into the book now and have to stay I am shocked at the depths Cameron and his cronies have sunk to. Seems to me too, that those crying the loudest usually have something to hide! The role of Ede is very interesting given his position, we need to know more about him. I am sure we are not at the end of this and tomorrow morning will bring a good deal more claims and counter claims. Meanwhile, let’s vote Positive.

    • Tracey 7.1

hoots allegedly provide hagers street name in response to an email suggesting damage could be done to hager if chinese businessman knew where lived. If true, HOW can a single media outlet use this guy ever again?

        this, exactly this 100%

That foul Cactus thing was the one encouraging Horton and Seaslug. I don’t think that’s reasonable behaviour for a lawyer. Nice of her to say that the people she does legal work for are basically murderers as well. Still, what can we expect from ACT?

      • dave 7.1.3

so shooton is involved to is there any connections to hoskins ?????yet !!!! waiting for second print run
iam off topic does slater make money from whale oil or has he paid tax or was he claiming a benefit while earning income?

      • politikiwi 7.1.4

I see Hooton is lined up for Nine To Noon’s politics spot this morning, with Kathryn Ryan and Mike Williams.

That’s gonna be worth a listen.

        • Tracey 7.1.4.1

Maybe, but Williams has no history of challenging Hoots.

Anyone emailing Kathryn Ryan to suggest Hoots supply of a guy’s street name in response to a call for him to be harmed by a tax lawyer in Hong Kong is worthy of RNZ listeners???

          ninetonoon@radionz.co.nz

I thought Hooten looked pretty uncomfortable on the Nation yesterday, maybe thinking he might be questioned?

  8. Slug writes:

There can be no doubt now that Kim Dotcom has wreaked unholy hell on the political landscape and at the same time drawn in every political party on the opposition side into his sphere of influence.

All the visits to the mansion by Clare Curran, Russel Norman, Winston Peters, Laila Harre, Martyn Bradbury, Alistair Thompson, Nicky Hager. They are all part of a mega-conspiracy to wreck an election, all for the benefit of Kim Dotcom.

    hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

    hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

And he thinks Hager is the conspiracy theorist…

He wouldn’t know a conspiracy theorist if he met one!

Oh that’s right! … he is one!

  9. ropata 9

Slater isn’t stupid, he’s an intelligent chap with an awfully dark narcissistic streak. His depression probably stems from his tattered conscience reminding him what a foul person he has become. But that inconvenient voice of morality has been effectively silenced by his growing ego and nasty schemes against political foes.

His daily Proverb is just a christian pretension to help his marketing.

    • Picard110 9.1

Given the way he behaves in public and private, he is no Christian of any description.

      • disturbed 9.1.1

Agreed Christianity would cast Slater out as evil with no hope of repentance.
Him and his kind are not Christian.
Slater was caught on RNZ news at 10am Sunday as saying Labour even sent him dirt too???

We have asked labour to come out and deny this.

Statergate attack coming on, he needs to be put under oath and face the judge and jury over his evil doings.

        • One Anonymous Bloke 9.1.1.1

It was more-or-less immediately refuted by Hager, who said that there were zero messages from NZLP MPs in the material. Susan Woods’ body language was interesting: she knows Hager is 100% credible.

I liked the way she correctly characterised a lot of Slater’s effluent as “hate-speech”.

          • TheContrarian 9.1.1.1.1

“It was more-or-less immediately refuted by Hager, who said that there were zero messages from NZLP MPs in the material.”

Sure but he may not have had all the emails himself and the leak could have redacted everything but National material so that Hager hasn’t seen any means nothing.

I would find it very surprised indeed if that over the period in question there was no communication from anyone identifiable from Labour or the left side of the fence.

            • One Anonymous Bloke 9.1.1.1.1.1

If there are, and they show anything like the kind of criminally vicious corruption displayed by Judith Collins, Slater has Labour over a barrel.

He’ll be releasing those dox any day now 😆

          • Psycho Milt 9.1.1.1.2

It was more-or-less immediately refuted by Hager, who said that there were zero messages from NZLP MPs in the material.

I don’t doubt him, but the fact there were no messages from Labour MPs in the material he was provided with isn’t the same thing as ‘refuting’ Slater’s claim to have had messages from Labour MPs.

            • redfed 9.1.1.1.2.1

If Labour MPs have been communicating with Slater, and it is a big if, then he should release their names. Labour can then decide how to handle it. His claims are an attention seeking power grab. I think the sooner that NZ politics can be returned to normal and Slater permanently sidelined the better.

            • Tracey 9.1.1.1.2.2

Right, so we have Hager’s word against Slater’s word. Slater needs to release them now and make a liar of Hager (once the emails and metadata have been independently verified). Mr Slater’s personal integrity has never been and is not today at an all-time high

    • Ropata, I think his “proverbs” would run along the lines of, “Do Unto Others, before they do unto you…”

      http://letmetellyouthis.wordpress.com/tag/list-of-christian-evangelist-scandals/

    • Mike Smith 9.4

Maybe we should have a proverb for Slater – my pick would be Proverbs 26 verse 11: “As a dog returns to its vomit, so fools repeat their folly.” The whole of Chapter 26 also applies – take your pick.

  10. lprent 10

Yeah right. The guy is a paranoid fuckwit. According to him labours slogan was all about him…

  11. wellyB 11

What is the point in you being so viscous? Of course Slater was going to come back with an explanation for it all and KDC does often make himself an easy target… But walk the talk, mate. Don’t call someone a ‘reeking stupid fuckwit … gibbering child’ even if they deserve it. Don’t fan the flames of Slater’s utu hunt, the public will just grow tired of both sides when really the Left should be welcoming people with open arms and as much transparency as possible.

Don’t want this blog used as an example against Labour’s ‘Vote Positive’ slogan… They are doing well to uphold it for once

    • lprent 11.1

Read the about. We aren’t the Labour party.

I’m just tired of having this fool being held up as being any kind of blogger. He isn’t. He is a self destructive fool who takes pay for pushing strange ideas using hate speech. We need to get rid of him.

      • wellyB 11.1.1

maybe I’m being too idealistic in thinking that Hager’s challenge to the Left to step up and be better wasn’t falling on deaf ears.

This blog, of course, is nothing like the charade of WO – and Slater is a disturbing individual with no journalistic merit, to say otherwise is a joke. I was mainly just commenting on the language, if I didn’t know any better (which most people unfortunately don’t) I would think the message was nasty and similar and just close my browser.

Sorry if my comment about Left blogs likely to be used against Labour’s positive party ‘line’ was out of place. But all it would take is a slip up/false claim/distraction … some ‘scandal’ about the Left using blogs too and a lot of hard work will be undone.

You have a platform for this message, and by the look of the false visitor numbers to WO, a more real platform than many.

Onward and upwards is all I’m sayin’

So the Oily Orca thinks hes got iron clad evidence ?

I think hes one of the iron dome missiles that has gone off course.

Some screen shots of a txt message ??. Yep theres an app for that. Create your own FAKE messages

“iPhoneFakeText is a cool HTML5 application that you can create fake iphone text conversations. You can edit conversations as well as save your conversation ”

As for his weird claims he found out about the hack at the time it happened ! Yeah baby!

The hack would have come through his home computer network, as he has a wife and teens at home, easy peasy to run a social enginnering attack through them and once youre in, there is his personal email db all ready for the hacking.

    • TheContrarian 12.1

Given these are texts from identifiable people I highly doubt they are faked.

      • Macro 12.1.1

        Gezz! Your easily fooled.

        • TheContrarian 12.1.1.1

Well given that Dotcom has come out to say the texts relate to something completely benign instead stating they are faked kinda speaks to their authenticity, no?

          • lprent 12.1.1.1.1

if you had a paranoid sociopathic fuckwit with dirt on journos saying something about you – you’d let it ride.

            Are you a wimp?

            • TheContrarian 12.1.1.1.1.1

              I’m sorry, I don’t understand your comment.

Fact remains that Dotcom has stated, through a spokesperson, that the texts are about a different matter altogether…meaning they are genuine – just not in the context Slater thinks they are.

            • Yoyo 12.1.1.1.1.2

I think what the poster was saying (actually it’s reasonably obvious) is that Dotcom himself is not denying they are his texts. Why if they are fake, would he say they are his?

              • lprent

They may be dotcom’s txts. Who cares?

What I am saying is that the txts look to me like they are related to some upcoming court case. They simply don’t look like they have anything to do with hacking. Ask yourself this. Can you point to anything in them that doesn’t look like it is to do with a court case.. And can you point to anything in them that says it must be hacking.

It just looks like one of the many cases that dotcom has.

I suspect that Cameron is deluded if he thinks this proves anything at all. Paranoid desperation appears to be seeping from his every utterance at present. He also seems to think that everyone is against him. Look at the desperate attempts to join up all of his enemies in a vast conspiracy.

                • Yoyo

As the case may be, you’re more than welcome to make an additional point that has nothing to do with the one you replied to. However, people will be confused if you make points unrelated to theirs in response to them. You seem a little upset, perhaps that is masking your clarity of thought.

I read the latest boogie man post on Camerons Blog. It doesn’t seem to offer proof and is more the monster under the bed type tale I would expect from Juana writing under his name.
Her posts often read different, still ranting and crazy, but lacking venom.
They are clutching at straws, trying to shut the story down.

My guess is that he’s in Israel on a reward trip paid out of the Hasbara budget. The Zionist regime has a huge social media propaganda program and reward people who repeat their poor excuses for their atrocities. I know one guy who I am 100% sure is a Hasbara operative, and he is also a dishonest overweight bully. He’s not in Aotearoa.

  15. I rarely go to his site, or visit any right wing sites any more, but I’m startled at the sheer number of posters who believe that K.com is some sort of all powerful Bond villain. They’ve all worked themselves up into a lather about it. Amazing.

    • ghostwhowalksnz 15.1

Yeah its hard to believe, he used to have a security business but ran it into bankruptcy, walked away with an income protection policy for his depressive illness but had his payments cut off for ‘working’.

Sir Douglas Graham. I wonder what he thinks about his son’s paid behaviours?Allegedly going to WO under aliases to “support” posts he wrote for Cameron Slater (who posted them word for word as his own), and then mocking maori and using the most vile language you could imagine.

    • Tracey 15.3

He needed to give them a diversion. Imagine if they started facing the truth about him. This way they can bury the truth about him, while simultaneously feeding off his diversion which actually proves Hager’s whole point about him.

  16. Glenn 16

Wankers at Yahoo pushing as their current headline Whale Oil hacking “funded by Dotcom”.
When you click on it it comes up as Whale Oil alleges hacking funded by Dotcom.
Deceitful buggers. Pushing Dear Leader all the time. Time to change my homepage.

  17. Dumbrse 17

I can’t get the smirk off my face long enough to write. Stay focused team and remember what the leader said, no talking to Cameron.

    • One Anonymous Bloke 17.1

Yeah, Cameron has all the emails from Labour on a separate server that didn’t get hacked, and what will their existence (which you have Cameron Slater’s word for – good luck with that) say about John Key and Judith Collins’ behaviour? Nothing.

If Labour MPs have something to answer for shame on them. If you think that gets the Prime and Justice Ministers off the hook you’re either delusional or your ethics are in the gutter.

  18. Well, I took the time to visit the WhaleOil site.

The reasoning didn’t seem strong. I noticed a couple of things about both sets of texts that were in the post.

The first text was the one in which Dotcom wonders who might have done the hacking and then ‘winks’. This has been used to implicate Dotcom as ‘confessing’ to the hack. But the odd thing is that Wayne Tempero (assuming these were his screenshots as claimed) then replies “Ha not me.”

One reading would be that Wayne Tempero’s interpretation of the Dotcom winking text was that Dotcom was suggesting that he (Wayne Tempero) had done the hacking. Of course, Tempero could have been playing along with the ‘joke’ and wasn’t seriously denying that he had done the hacking. A further interpretation is that they could have both been referring to a third person who they had discussed previously as being the likely hacker.

All in all, hardly an incontrovertible ‘confession’.

More interesting was the second set of texts. Cameron Slater says they were from ‘June’ (no indication of when in June).

That’s interesting because of the claim Dotcom makes that mickysavage has already highlighted:

collecting evidence and witnesses for 3 months. I hired professionals to get me information. We are preparing a case against everyone involved.”.

Three months prior to (early) June is (early March). That means the suggested evidence collection period does not overlap with the period that involved the hacking of Slater’s computer system since that was in February.

Finally, I don’t think hacked emails would be admissible as evidence – going on mickysavage’s comment above.

I suppose the book ‘Dirty Politics’ might be admissible but what is there in it that would be useful to Dotcom’s case? (I haven’t read it yet).

    • ghostwhowalksnz 18.1

Dotcom has spent a fortune trying to get a lot of his siezed material back.

    Where is he hiding?

  26. Mike the Savage One 26

Perhaps it is wise to be prepared for a “revenge attack”, other agendas, or something sinister of that kind, as there are signs of something brewing, or being prepared to look like a “conspiracy”:

“Judith Collins’ husband targeted in burglary”
    http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=11310180

    “MP burgled and hacked”
    http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=11310030

Having watched the news on One and TV3, and not just taken note of the polls, I see there is something coming up.

Either these are coincidences that are being used to attack Dotcom, perhaps even charge him, or there is indeed something more to it.

Of course Dotcom would not be so silly to get himself involved, but the text messages between him and his former security staffer Tempero sound a bit worrying indeed.

It is too early to read anything in and out, but it is almost certain, this will all be used to launch a nasty attack on Dotcom, and to further implicate Nicky Hager into all this.

What an “election campaign”, I have never seen one like this in dear old New Zealand.

  27. redfred 27

I think something orchastrated is brewing and its not National.

Wait until about the 22nd, I think we will see either the SIS Goff OIA emails or the Collins prisoner transfer messages, or maybe one on the 22nd and one on the 23rd. If its substantitave enough (it will be) to wreck Nationals campaign launch Ede and Collins gone Tuesday.

Im picking the 8GB will be up on wikileaks by the end of the month, I don’t think they will let Hager take any more punishment. Hope not anyway.

    • lprent 27.1

I suspect a wikileaks style release as well. Keeps it well out of NZ hands, and accessible by everyone.

      • Mike the Savage One 27.1.1

That is EXACTLY what I am expecting, something loaded onto a “neutral” website from an “anonymous” source, or a new website with no detectable connections to any known person or party, to suddenly reveal what documents there are.

I am sure the SIS will have their “fun” and will be kept busy, surely also their “boss”!

Wikileaks have shown us how it can be done.

        • Kiwiri 27.1.1.1

Heh. Some National MPs, particularly a certain one, should be quite concerned and stay awake till 4am. For the next few mornings until the emails are disclosed.
          Sleep tight everyone!

  28. Tigger 28

Slater really is a typical bully – all fire and bluster when he’s throwing punches but all tears and whining if someone dares to take him on.

He grows sadder and more pathetic by the day.

    • tricledrown 28.1

I looked up conferences mid August Te Aviv found the International association of Psychoanalytical self-help Physcology!
Maybe bully boy can’t handle the pressure coming onto him from his own self destructive behaviour !

    • Mike the Savage One 28.2

When nobody loves you, especially the desired sex candidates, and what else there may be as “frustrations”, hatred can grow to be highly destructive forms for any person affected.

How did his parents treat him, I wonder?

Why has the Whale turned out to be the specimen of a human he is?

Is there a self help group for persons like him?

Maybe the 12 step program, but before you qualify, you have to accept and surrender, to your failings and so forth. I see him too far away from that at this stage. Let us hope and wish for the best, that our “friend” Cameron may find his human self one day, and eat humble pie and discover his heart and soul and gentle feelings.

Oh, I sound like a Christian, do I not?

  29. meconism 29

If Dotcom’s analysis of WO blog is close to right, then WO spilling all this bile for the Nats is being read by way less than the hundreds of thousand Slater is telling Ede. I just hope the GCSB have got the ninth floor bugged. I wonder if they are stupid enough to pay him? Follow the money.

The fat little oxygen thief is somewhat of a distraction. There are many other scandals going on in NZ. But the common factor is a government that hates the poor and working class, and serves the rich.

A few other things that should be front page news:
    * kids with third world diseases
    * kids going to school hungry and without shoes
    * the working poor, unable to earn a living wage
    * the top 1% taking 99% of the economic gains since ’84
    * the government selling public assets to their one-percenter pals
    * a dairy industry running amuck and turning rivers to shit
    * the demise of the kiwi dream and rise of the rentier class

Watch Nigel Latta’s latest documentary, The Haves and Have Nots and try not to smash your TV

    • miravox 30.1

      +1 Ropata

The most important part of this dirty politics uproar is these people lie, steal and manipulate information to maintain their presumed entitlements and deny others a fair life.

  31. Mike the Savage One 31

It was totally bizarre what Cam Slater said in the interview with Susan Wood on Q+A today, when he said, about half his “contacts” were from the Labour Party, and that he was having contacts all over the political spectrum in New Zealand. He even mentioned Stuart Nash and Kelvin Davis, and I wonder what that was about.

So Cam is multi party all over a sudden, and he is “not” even a National Party member, he said. He identified himself more in line with ACT politics, and that tells us something perhaps, about the names he mentioned about Labour members he had been in touch with?! It seems he is keen to work more on the split in Labour, and he seems to have been a great force behind the scene, to encourage and promote the ABC brigade. That may be speculation, but who knows? I am sure Phil Goff is NO friend of Slater, after all this.

Anyway, does anyone believe this person, this so self centred maladapted character? I hope he gets taken to court for his misdeeds, and that he will fail with his attempts to lay charges against some he is now saying he will prosecute.

We will have some interesting weeks ahead, I think.

    • Roy 31.1

Funny that there are no pictures of him snuggling up to Cunliffe at Labour Party functions, like there are pictures of him snuggling up to Key at National Party functions, then, isn’t it?

      • lprent 31.1.1

You won’t see me snuggling up to politicians at all. I have an allegy to charm. Also to photos – I like being known for ideas rather than wasting my time on presence.

  32. Hami Shearlie 32

I also wonder about Slater mentioning contact with Stuart Nash and Kelvin Davis. Mind you he is so desperate to deflect attention from himself, he would say ANYTHING about ANYONE at this point!

    • Tracey 32.1

dont you think they would be angry to be wrongly associated with this guy…

Mr Davis’ behaviour up noirth, taking donations from Fafer and so on doesn’t make you a little suspicious?

Even BS-ers tell the truth sometimes.

      • McFlock 32.1.1

if truth is indistinguishable from deceit, all we have is our own preconceptions. And a halfway decent lie preys on preconceptions.

Slater’s hoping for denials to distract from him and also to make labour sound like key. I suspect the best course of action is to merely let his credibility speak for itself – slugboy added nothing with his claims.

If slugboy said that the sky was blue, I’d check. And if he said it was raining, I’d double check to make sure he wasn’t covering for john key taking a massive piss all over the front door.

  33. discreetly 33

Did Cameron Slater disclose income from Carrick Graham while on the SB?

  34. mpledger 34

Dot Com is the go to “whipping boy” for National when they can’t blame Labour. But it may actually work against them – any court action here is going to delay the extradition hearings and that will work in Dot Com’s favor. And the longer Dot Com hangs around and is in the news being hounded by the National government the more he will become the “little guy against the State”. NZers don’t like that kind of thing, especially when it’s out of proportion to the “crime”, and will start siding with him.

  35. Michael W 35

What a disgraceful and poor image. Swearing and name calling galore all throughout the site, as long as directed at “the enemy”. So much for your “policy”.

    [lprent: Our policy is here.

We don’t have a policy against swearing or name calling. Instead we support robust debate including swearing and name calling where appropriate. So long as there is a point and you don’t go too far over the top (ie attract moderator attention), it adds to the robust debate that people can be challenged at a personal level when they are being fools. This tends to be quite educational especially for the arrogant and profoundly ignorant loudmouths like yourself.

The moderation follows in the same vein. When we see someone claiming describe what our policy should be rather than what it actually is, the moderators (especially me) tend to call them gormless fools. We really don’t like jerkoffs who are too illiterate and impolite to read the rules of the site before they start spraying around whatever hangs around their small and diseased mind. We consider such behaviour to be potentially infectious and move to excise the contamination as soon as possible in case it is contagious.

Banned 6 weeks for the stupidity of thinking this site is a political party and being too thick to read the about. ]
