Just spent a pleasant couple of hours in “The Goose” in Walthamstow watching Liverpool outclass Spurs 4-0 to go top of the Premier League table. I’ve supported Liverpool since I lived in England in the late 1960’s.
Nobody gave them a chance at the start of the season. Now a porous defence has become an 11-person wall.
What a difference good strategy and management can make – what showed today was how it engenders belief, commitment, determination and the willingness to work for each other.
They’ve got good songs too.
