Yesterday morning we went though 900k comments. We have done another 100k comments in 188 days since the 800k at September 10th.
In the meantime we have had an election, its aftermath, and the summer break.
Looking against Eddie’s graph, I am pretty sure that we aren’t going to quite hit the million comments at the 3rd of August. That is just 137 days away.
The site is looking pretty healthy. For instance this is the last 30 days compared to the same period last year when we were coming into an election.
A significiant weight gain in page views and sessions. Reduction in new sessions and the bounce rate as non-political voters drop back to their usual somnolence post election.
Incidentally the sessions are meant to be like sitemeters ‘unique visits’ that are reported on Open Parachute (like the Feb figures). They are meant to have the same parameters. However at present sitemeter is reporting 212k unique visits to google analytics 138k. There is a reason why I think that sessions / visits suck as a measure on a large site.
I have bug off to work. However, there was discussion yesterday about gender ratios.
Minor variations over the last 30 days. Google analytics still sitting very close to the 30% for females, and at a slightly reduced accuracy. I can’t show you against last year because we had only just started collecting this then.
