Of more practical significance, last night saw the final implosion of the Republican’s insane hatred of “Obamacare”. They couldn’t replace it. They couldn’t replace it again (and again). Then they couldn’t repeal it. Then they couldn’t even “skinny” repeal bits of it. Seven years of political posturing shown up for the madness that it was. There is now a real risk that the Republican administration will break healthcare deliberately and burn their own people out of spite. That’s the level of right-wing politics in America.
