Updating the blogroll

Sysop

I’m about to start sweeping the blogroll for dead or moribund sites over the next week. The general rule is that I mark sites private if the recent posts are inactive for more than 3 months (or I can’t read the site). If anyone wants to get their site added (or re-added) then use the contact-us form which I currently get a copy of at the moment until the site fully settles down.

Last night,  I added a number of party sites after the Alliance Party requested that their site get put in. It was there already but linked to their dead blog. I even added the personal John Key site under its more common name (rather generous I thought).

If anyone has a WordPress site that is about to go moribund or die, then get hold of me. If you want, I can set the site up on our servers and preserve it for prosperity and for reference links. There are a distressing number of dead sites in the current blogroll and linked to from our pages. Some of them I’d dearly like to reread. In particular KiwiBlogBlog and even robinsod’s rather strange site. I’m unconcerned about your political affiliations – if fact I usually don’t care.

And yes Eve I’m renaming your site – it isn’t CACFA any more. I’ve even added Inventory2’s site back in now that he has returned from the dead (no relation to Roger (Zombie) Douglas). But while he may be a bit of a right-wing maniac, but at least he knows how to argue.

The site site just doubled its memory, so hopefully that will stop the periodic outages due to the general enthusiasm to see our authors ‘wisdom’.

Lynn

BTW: Lyn gets back this weekend from AIDC.

Bloggers of the right may heave a premonitory sigh of relief and reduce their artistic,

but highly selective highly quoting – before I get irritated again.
