Fabians: On Rwanda invading DRC

I occasionally turn up to Fabian meetings, when I remember to tag them in the diary and they are up the road. They are often useful for understanding how other people view topics that I am either familiar with or sometimes have little information on.
Plus the Fabian audience questions tend to have less of the droning ‘questioner’ statements of position that make many political meetings tedious. Frequently meeting drones manage many minutes of a ‘question’ without actually posing a question nor showing any awareness of what the speakers had said. These are the most irritating thing that happens in most political meetings, and you can often hear the sigh of audience members when the pests stand up. Those who cannot produce a leaflet to hand out at the door and who insist on delivering it before a audience. But I digress
Anyway, here are the current Fabian events.
The one on zoom tonight is about the ever escalating proxy invasion of Congo by Rwandan troops and their proxies. That is looking like heading into large scale atrocities, ethnic cleansing, and grabbing of resources like Trump would like to do. As the Global Conflict Tracker said in March:-

Since 1996, conflict in eastern DRC has led to approximately six million deaths.

Side-note: These events do show up in the Feed on the right column of the desktop site. The date in the RSS feed is correct – for the date of the event, which is when the event happens.
However the RSS picks it up within 15 minutes after an update, and inserts it in the Feed at the time of arrival – ie Freshness. I’ll add some code to insert some sites in at the post date of a little earlier – when I have time.
