Email from the Greens…

Green Party of Aotearoa New Zealand

Kia ora

I need your help urgently.

My Feed the Kids Bill, which will ensure our most vulnerable kids get fed at school, could be voted on tomorrow night. We only haveone day left to convince John Key and the National Party to feed our hungriest kids.

Please email John Key today to ask him to support feeding hungry kids.

With just one day to go I need as many of you as possible to email the Prime Minister and ask for his support on getting my Bill to Select Committee. Your email can make a big difference for some of our poorest kids.

Email John Key to ask him to show his support for alleviating poverty by supporting my Bill.

If the Bill goes to Select Committee, MPs will be able hear from parents, kids, teachers and others about what they think are the best solutions for feeding hungry kids at school. The important thing is to have the public debate about addressing child poverty, and come up with the best solution for helping hungry kids.

John Key’s support means we can have that debate. Please email him today to start the debate on food in schools.

Thank you,

Metiria Turei
GREEN PARTY CO-LEADER

Had to look up very quickly what the bill is about. The one originally from Hone and has been taken up by Metiria?

I agree with free lunch in schools. But what happens during the holidays?

  8. I like how after my submission I was left in no doubt about who my email was sent to as I got a nice email back from the prime ministers office.

Strange how others who contact him were so confused about the issue
