I've watched this interview but not the film, there is a link to it and it will be a very hard film to watch.

This is what the US, UK and a number of other countries are supporting. We are complicit by our support with 5 Eyes, Aukus, and increasing ties in other areas.

Ireland, Norway and Spain have recognised Palestine as an independent state, where's our guts to do the same. Is it because a number of government MP's have very conservative religious beliefs and support this ethnic cleansing / genocide.

At the moment NZ is on the wrong side of history.

“All uploaded under their real names and ranks” is how award-winning journalist Richard Sanders describes the Israeli soldiers' social media posts, which serve as key evidence in his latest Al Jazeera documentary. In a conversation with Middle East Eye columnist Peter Oborne, Sanders explains how these videos reveal acts of destruction and mistreatment of civilians in Gaza, exposing potential war crimes. The film explores a trove of over 2,500 social media accounts of Israeli soldiers, shedding light on shocking footage that Sanders calls “the first live-streamed genocide in history.” The documentary also features testimonies from brave Al Jazeera journalists in Gaza, juxtaposing the soldiers’ posts with the harsh reality on the ground.

Why is it, do you think, that Ḥarakat al-Muqāwamah al-ʾIslāmiyyah haven't released the surviving hostages, and the bodies of the deceased? What have they to gain by hanging on to them?

Perhaps both bodies and hostages have been atomised by Israeli attacks? Why would Ḥarakat al-Muqāwamah al-ʾIslāmiyyah show its hand?

Netanyahu clearly has decided to spring-clean all those pesky enemies with the opportunity handed to him on a golden platter on Oct 7 last year. Like with Putin at the start of HIS war, there has been no question of ceasefire negotiations in good faith by his government.

Even the families of the Israeli hostages believe Netanyahu never meant to bring the hostages home, or that the Gaza incursion was for their benefit. As evidenced by their protests against their government.

So after more than a year, the hostages have been made largely irrelevant in the scale of Netanyahu’s wars.
