To all the contributions to this… thank you. I have been out to shop twice to the Dr twice in three months, the posts expressed here have been a lifeline . Even the contrary views!! We found it strange to have visitors and found ourselves wondering what their contacts had been.
It is a caring community by and large and Penk is a rare "Bum note" He belongs to a cabal of Jacinda haters IMO.
Yes it all seems very strange getting back to 'normal' and interacting with people again!! We've just realised that this three months of semi/isolation has meant we have re-evaluated what is important and are now in the process of simplifying our lives.
Boy Fran O’Sullivan really has turned toxic on Jacinda. It must be galling for her to know that lurking behind the Herald paywall means she’s only really preaching to the choir.
O'Sullivan is the voice of right wing Auckland speculators and rentiers. She would have heard they are petrified of a majority Labour government and they are pissed at losing money with closed borders. She has had her orders.
Yet another right wing woman who is OK to look at, until they open their mouths, or in Francesca's case, type on their keyboards.

Whaat?
Green voter here and ardent admirer of Jacinda
francesca you are always worth reading even though I disagree with you at times. Thoughtful with a heart – that is an important combination.
See my Moderation note @ 10:54 PM.
Can anyone explain what the Cabinet process that Twyford is referring to here? Is it a NZ convention, that successive governments use? Or is it something specific to L and NZF this time around? If the latter, do we know what it entails?

New Zealand is at number 2 in the new Global Peace Index.
Number one? Guess then check …
(but if you'd like to be 120 places lower, vote National)
The caption reminds me of "I've Been Thinking" by Richard Prebble.
It’s the fourth monkey: think no evil. Well, technically, it’s an ape but I’m not a primatologist so what gives?
