Promotion for the reduction of the corporate tax rate.

One of the unstated purposes is to enable people to reduce liability to (a Labour government introduced) CGT via forming a company.

The idea that the public are better off, if wealthy people have things their way, includes aggregate capital (domestic or foreign company/corporation).

The argument that Oz banks pay 25% here as “small businesses” do in Oz, and this is good for us is absurd.

I’d tax them at 33%, keep large businesses at 28%, to afford a 25% rate for smaller sized companies/business here.

And have conditions to qualify as a small business.

If the issue is other countries having a better rate, it would need to drop far more than 3 percentage points, so I think you've hit the nail on the head with the real reason.

Donald Trump’s administration has pressed Romanian authorities to lift travel restrictions on the self-described misogynist influencer Andrew Tate, a champion of the US president who is facing criminal charges in Bucharest.

Andrew and his brother Tristan Tate, who are dual US and UK nationals, have become a cause célèbre in rightwing social media after having been arrested in Romania in 2022 and charged with human trafficking, sexual misconduct and money laundering, as well as starting an organised crime group. They have denied wrongdoing.

The Tates’ case was first brought up by US officials in a phone call with the Romanian government last week and then followed up by Trump’s special envoy Richard Grenell when he met the Romanian foreign minister at the Munich Security Conference, said three people familiar with the matter.

    The man is weird!

Last week Trump was describing Zelensky as a dictator, now he regards him with much 'respect and considers him a brave man'. It seems to me that it depends on who he has last spoken to… what his latest views happens to be. Together with his pathological lying, how is four years of that going to pan out? Disaster for the world in my view.

As for the softly. softly approach the UK and European leaders are taking with Trump, it will be interesting to see how long it lasts.

Chaya Raichik: sex trafficking is fun!!

After years of promising to release the information the federal government had on now-deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, the Trump administration allegedly did so on Thursday by giving documents to a group of untrustworthy right-wing influencers who are famous for spreading disinformation and hate.

Trump-loving social media personalities Rogan O'Handley, Chaya Raichik, Liz Wheeler, Chad Prather, and Mike Cernovich were seen leaving the White House holding binders that said "The Epstein Files" on the cover. Some of them even posed for smiling, jubilant photos with the binders in hand.

I can guess the FN drunk (Sec of Defence) and the "dog killer" (SD Governor) in the linked to “Kevin Kruse” post. I'd guess he is claiming the Russian stooge is the Director of National Intelligence – TG.

The Sec of Education (scandal plagued wrestling executive), The Sec of Health (whale beheading and heroin addiction), the real world air head … AG?

Yes I guessed that too. Most of the tweet was amusing and correct. But like the 13th cuckoo of a cuckoo clock, that ridiculous statement cast doubt on all that went before.

I’ll give our friend Joe the benefit of the doubt, and presume he didn’t read as far as that boring and discredited bit of abuse.
