Earlier today I sent a missive off to point out a little flaw in a new and updated Beehive page. Like all things from this current government, it was long on flashiness and extremely light on the functional details. It also doesn’t appear to have been picked up that for 3 weeks that the government’s messaging was self-limited. Pretty typical of this sloppy and incompetent government.
Hi Ministerial Resourcing @ DIA,
Congrats on cleaning up the visible webpage(s) for RSS feeds. However it is a pity that you are not in fact generating a particularly useful RSS feed.
Please test your RSS feed against a feed checker – for instance W3C – which is the most common validator used for testing valid RSS feeds, which said.
It looks like this is a web page, not a feed. I looked for a feed associated with this page, but couldn’t find one. Please enter the address of your feed to validate.
What you have at present is a feed that barely meets requirements, even the lenient RSS board validator complains.
This feed is valid, but interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendations
It also doesn’t pass the test on the site I operate The Standard where the ‘Govt’ feed cuts off 3 weeks ago.
Your subsidiary feeds are even worse when I look at them with a programmers eye. If you look at them, you will wind the RSS xml only contains titles, descriptions, and author – but no content.
However, I do urge you to continue this information denying treatment for some of the ministers. It actually enhances the quality of their output. For instance you appear to have truncated the (alleged) wisdom of..
In the meantime, it does remind me that I need to finish my own RSS aggregator.
Cheers
Reminds me in micro-form of all of the other dumbarse incompetent and outright sloppy decisions on things like
Given the amount of complaining I’m hearing from solid supporters of the right, anyone care to bet on these clowns getting another term?
What happens when you cut funding for services, so as to give rich pricks more money.
That was my thought as well. Looks like Brooke van Velden cut the DIA quality assurance staff or possibly their competent developers.
It doesn’t surprise me that they wound up with sloppy work on the Minsiterial website
Practically everything that emerges from this incompetent "Administration " seems to be a direct result of their cut backs.
Today we heard on RNZ Kathryn Ryan's show that fewer people are accessing mental health services – not because of increasing wellness – but because of depleted mental heath providers and services. No doubt our esteemed "Govt" will claim this as a success!

Yup successfully killing our public health system one minister at a time.
It's a teamsters approach with ACT screwing over primary care breaking their election funding pledge and NZF firing the fags back up.
DG Diana Sarfati is going 7 days after handing in her notice so Minature Brown appears to be making his presence felt.
Everyone must go
Seems like everyone wants to go once simeon showed up
that email is hilarious, I hope they appreciate the humour.
Would you add Bsky Social, (https://bsky.app) Please
I deleted my Twitter account
Well done. You could have advised them that you were sending the email in the spirit of public service. You know, as a fishing expedition to see if they reply "What's that?"

The motto of the ‘junior staffer’ responsible might actually be that no feed is better than David Seymour’s free lunch.
Looks like you had fun writing that constructive e-mail, from one professional to another professional
Based on their attitude regarding the boot camp performance statistics, maybe theyre just happier this way.
