And so ends a great day’s trading under the erstwhile eye of Mr Key. Looks like they won’t be inviting John back to give the opening bell at the NYSE.

all that he touches turns to shit

Sprout You come on here an make a another negative post on our hero/God JK

Actually he has never been invited to open Wall St – that was him ringing the closing bell. One does have to ask the question though: would you have given him praise and said “He has the Midas Touch” if it had been a massive rally? Or would you have made a post about how this rally is simply the dead rubber bounce in a depression economy and why hasn’t he given NZ a stimulus package?

It is this kind of “Tails I win, heads you lose” political commentary that drags down our entire national discourse.

  4. Judging by most reports, I would say he wouldn’t be invited back.

The internet sure exposes us to a huge range of instant important events. This one reminds me of those clips of house demolitions. You know. 3,2,1 Zap. Down falls the dollar!

How can one outpour bitterness at a soundclip? I loved Max Headroom, lamented his departure and now….he is back in his new persona.

  7. Opps, I meant to say,

Judging by most reports, I would say he WOULD be invited back.

Reminds me of one of the better quotes around: “He showed a frustration and impatience towards National still displayed by some of the shriller Labour-aligned blogs, which find fault with anything and everything the Key Government does while expecting their breathless critiques to somehow bring forward its demise.”
