I agree. MIQ / Govt are blaming everyone but themselves and their lack of system. (and wasn't it found out afterwards that the KFC worker was only told to isolate the day after she worked?).
It's the non existent system that is wrong. When the worker told his employer he had been tested, they should have been able to check a register or database and say no you haven't been, no more work until you have been tested.
Just heard an advert for Prime news, they said "What brought Judith Collins to tears in Parliament today?" I didn't know there was another poll out today...LOL
You are probably right that its a bit soon for Chloe but I can see her being leader one day. It's always better to have one leader and a deputy IMO. One clear boss, no confusion.
IMO about time they went to one leader like normal parties. Having co leaders seems very indecisive. Perhaps time for Chloe to step up?
I was just about to post this too. Over 80% of the cases coming in seem to be from India, the guy that wrote this article needs to get a grip and see sense.

I think its a Monty Python skit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvPbj9NX0zc
So after 3 and a half years, we have to wait another six months for another working group to start from scratch to evaluate light rail. It doesn't even sound like Dominion Rd is a definite as they've now mentioned Sandringham Rd. So absolutely nothing has ...

Unfortunately as expected, there will be a lot more of this happening. The once a year increase that landlords are allowed, they will increase by as much as they can to cover the extra costs imposed by Grant Robertson. Grant did say if the landlord ...
Yes what happened to that "year of delivery"?
I see Tourism Australia are advertising Western Australia as a holiday destination on the NZ Herald, so hopefully that means the travel bubble is not far away.
Exactly. Well said Red.

Jacinda said she would not bring in a CGT while she is leader. Was she being too definitive when she said that?
It should not be called a "loophole', that is incorrect.

I think you mean J. Rotten or Johnny Rotten.
Unfortunately there will be a few landlords that decide to cash up now which was always going to happen as an unintended consequence. I fear these announcements may not be good for renters as rents will increase. Hopefully your colleagues can find another ...

Megan Woods was terrible on One ZB this afternoon when interviewed. Couldn't answer a single question. At least she still turns up there I guess!
Yes you are correct regarding infrastructure, which is why it was crazy to ever think that Labour would build 10,000 Kiwi Build affordable houses a year.
Reading through this thread, it is obvious you have experience with rental properties, and McFlock has probably never owned one and seems to have absolutely no idea of what it's like to be a landlord in the real world.
infusednz is correct. Lack of supply is the problem. Take away tax deductions - Rents will increase. Increase the bright line - properties will be held longer. If Kiwi build had been successful, we would have an additional 40,000 low cost houses available ...
Agree totally. They need to do more on the supply side. Taxing landlords is not going to help the renters. Of course landlords will increase the rent to cover the additional tax payable if they cannot deduct interest. Yes Robbo got caught out big time ...
