Check that out for some out there craziness. Over shallow coral reef in Tahiti. The swells are generated from the deep lows which pass under NZ, especially the ones that swat our east coast with cold snowy southerly misery.
Mind. Blown.
My word, that wave is freakish.
Wow! Hope the boys came out after all that. Fantastic photography. VTO. Was the last bloke you?
Yep no it aint me. I can’t go putting my life at risk like that. People die at this spot – teeahupo, tahiti.
That is at the world’s very top end of the skill of men riding waves.
NZ has its own versions at a few places, though none like that. There is one at Haldane Bay in the Catlins. There are a couple around southern North Island and various others scattered around. Though they are small wee lame and tame bunnies in comparison.
That is amazing! We watched it in awe of both nature and man!
Wow, that was just so freaking cool, VTO what a find, thanks for sharing.
Here’s what we do in Christchurch these days on a weekend, watch buildings get demolished!
A regular, non-earthquake, demolition of a famous (infamous) Heathcote Valley landmark. Big blow from the wrecking ball, big result in the video. Great entertainment for all the locals!! Watch for the, entirely coincidental, countdown from a kid at the end.
Valley Inn Tavern – Heathcote Valley – Maltworks towers: Just hit it!
A wonderfull night out Saturday in Hamilton. An evening of traditional Hindustani and Carnatic Indian classical music.
Wonderfull music and hospitality from the local based Indian population.,
The main artist of the evening was sitarist Prof Prosanta Bhanje direct from Indian.
After the 3 hour concert a feed of Somosa real one’s and bloody hot.All for ten dollars. No wonder Indian emigrants are popular.
Then Sunday home to listen to the opera on concert FM. Plus my lovely wife cooked a roast chicken with all the trimmings . I forgot the bloody rotten Tories for the whole weekend.
