Trump is Covid Satire with deadly consequences .
The US is stuck in a Covid Quagmire uncoordinated and flailing around .States with seperate strategies private healthcare unable to treat masses of uninsured or underinsured.
Trump could win the popular vote if only republican states are functional come November.
Republican States tend to be more sparsely populated and less prone to epidemics. If a Second wave hits those states could be worst hit with less herd immunity
So far it has indeed been the pattern that Democratic areas have been harder hit than Republican areas.

But overall infection rates have been so low I find it hard to picture any kind of herd immunity coming into play anytime this year. Even the highest estimates from New York city using antibody tests with known high false positives and shonky statistics only get to about 20% estimated infection rates, and more realistic estimates are more like upper single digit percentages.
Given that the Virus was in the US much earlier than previously thought and cases outside hospital deaths are not recorded plus the very low rate of testing ,poor access to healthcare.I wouldn't be surprised if the % of infection was much higher.
The "machine" one is awesome.
