‘Crusher’ running scared

I’ve never been the biggest fan of Clayton Cosgrove, but he’s sure got ‘Crusher’ Collins running scared on her cuts to police vehicles.

Yesterday in Parliament she refused to answer a question as the Minister of Corrections, telling Cosgrove he should take it up with the Minister of Police instead. The Minister of Police, of course, is Collins herself.

Then this morning she refused to front against Cosgrove on Morning Report, most likely because she knows her tough talk doesn’t match up with her actions and she’d only embarrass herself by appearing.

Now she’s running off to Australia for the rest of the week.

It’s becoming increasingly apparent that the ‘Crusher’ persona is just one big excerise in PR. Crushers don’t run scared from their opposition, and they make sure they’ve got the guts to match their rhetoric with some action. Collins has failed miserably on both counts.

I’d noticed “crusher” is all puff and no substance.

Mind you I can appreciate that she doesn’t want to be too close to the police right now. I’m sure that many of them remember the stupid under resourcing that National did to the police in the 90’s

Why would Crusher Collins avoid such questions?
    Because she can.

All Collins seems good at is getting her mug in the paper.

Seem to remember English saying she had been promoted way past her ability.

She’s not the only one, Anne Tolley has gone very quiet since the budget.

Look, who in their right minds would want to appear on “Morning Report”, that farce where Progressives elitists stack the deck against National under the transparent guise of objective reporting.

What we need in NZ is FOX News. Some balance.

Then we might get political discussion that ventures outside the left wing paradigm favoured by the greyed out old comm*e propaganda offices like the TV One and TV Three Newsrooms, Close Up and Campbell Live, and Radio New Zealand.

Yeah yeah, I know I know. The extreme left would love these places to be even further left than they are, but I guess you’ll just have to keep working at that Felix and others.

That Collins didn’t want to be subjected to the farce of being interviewed on “Morning report” only shows she’s got some intelligence and is capable of discrimination concerning so called “broadcasting outlets”.

    Good on her.

But National are a bunch of lefties as it is, right? So why would they care about more of their ilk on the wireless?

I can see why an idiot with right-leaning tendencies would like Fox. You do not fit into that category – what is it about that outfit that you admire? I reckon you would hate blatant media bias and idiocy wherever you see it – so I do not get the blind eye for Fox. Or do you like the idea of openly biased media, even if they completely dumb down and infotainmentise their copy? I can sort of see that – if The Herald could be a bit more up front I would give them some cred.

RB – could you try and get your own show? That way we could at least push the OFF button.

Redbaiter we have Fox news in NZ it goes by another name NZ Herald or something.

On TV One we have that weezle not even trying to be balanced every morning.
Then we have Rolston who I am sure will be the next John Key Parachute candidate. The list goes on and on, to call our Media left wing is quite stuuuupid. But hey any excuse for National will do, even trust me I know what iIam doing makes the grad for the PM, so get stuffed I am not showing is fine for a minister.

I, for one, would welcome redbaiter having his own show. It would be like his favourite current affairs show “The Colbert Report” only funnier cos it would be for real.

Latte sipping socialist scum everywhere would think that the “The Redbaiter Report” (TM) would be required viewing.

I second that. It’d be wonderful, I’d watch it every day. Also, I reckon he’d be a perfect fit as cover for Leighton Smith if he ever needs a holiday (in Fiji, obviously, so he can enjoy the sweet sweet freedom from racist electoral systems).

We have Fox news in NZ already, It,s called Prime news, first at 5-30.

Actually, Prime broadcast Fox at about 2 AM for two hours everyday I think.

Not really surprising since Prime is owned by Sky NZ, and Sky is owned by Newscorp which also owns Fox.

Why don’t you get your hand off it and start your own blog?

Then could indulge your bizarre fantasies at your leisure and argue with yourself till the cows come home.

Thank fuck your appearances here are few and far between.
