Not sure that will happen, Phillip.
But to my mind, the contrast between Australian Defence Dept nailing the guilty, and the NZ Defence Dept trying to cover all asses is a source of shame to NZ.

This is our fifth largest city.
It has just set in motion the complete rebuild of Cameron Street, and has major NZTA works planned all around it.
It has negligible public transport, is exceedingly vulnerable to sea level rise in parts, and its politics haven't functioned for years at either local, regional or central levels.
And it's dominated by just a handful of big business including Trustpower and Port of Tauranga.

Now we have another who thought his financial acumen (was it he or his wife?) and all his skills for ordering people around (Colonel Powell) but again, with no political leadership skills. Is it surprising that he met a similar demise That said, it seems there are also a few pretty flakey Councillors who shouldn't be picking up a paycheque.
