Imagine being so angry that any encouragement to use less sets you off.

Jordan Paterson is the top and only one on my Twit of the Universe list.

Imagine having a brain like he has and waste it on topics such as paper towels.

He could be covering topics such as 'how many angels can dance on the top of a pin head?' I would be very interested in that bearing in mind his answers to the question 'do you believe in God?

These types of video's circulate constantly throughout the web-o-sphere. They appeal to lazy and uncritical thinkers, and to those with a strong confirmation bias.

        Here are some others.

Woke Student Tries to Frame and Cancel Jordan Peterson, gets DESTROYED Instantly! – YouTube

Jordan Peterson calmly dismantles feminism infront of two feminists – YouTube

Jordan Peterson Leaves Progressive Student SPEECHLESS on Sex – YouTube

        See what I mean?

          They are not similar.

Shanreagh's video was an in-depth critique of Jordan Peterson on religion, while the videos you posted are simply Jordan Peterson rambling on and as such uncritical by nature.

The videos you posted are usually made and shared by the misogynist, incel, alt-right…

          • Shanreagh 1.1.1.1.1

            Well said MB.

          • Liberty Belle 1.1.1.1.2

No, they aren't similar, they are basically the same. Shallow 'gotcha' type commentary that provides no context or even (in the Peterson example) very little actual footage. I could post any number of similar video's targeting Jo Biden's cognitive abilities, Kamala Harris' word salad's, Ben Shapiro critiquing Greta Thunberg. And OMG yes let's label the authors and see if that feels better. Or better yet, go back to YouTube and see that there are many such video's posted by people from the left.

I am struggling to follow here. Are you commending Jordan Paterson for his take on paper towels?

Paterson is a beguiling person who has hooked many people into thinking he is a reasonable person. He is not.

The extract I posted was an attempt by another commentator to pin down where Jordan Paterson was coming from on religion. I linked it to show the likely response I would get:

a if I criticised or asked for explanation of the paper towels

b the type of response I could imagine him giving in reply to the angels question

              'Now lemme ask

              How do you define 'how'

              ditto angel

ditto dance 'are they doing dancing that takes up lots of space or dancing like a ballerina on a music box'

              ditto pin head

In short the topic is unworthy.

Of course if everyone had the education he was fortunate to have then we may not have to put up explicit instructions about paper towels but not everyone is as educated as he is

Wasting time on low hanging fruit like paper towels diverts away from asking ourselves why we are not able to all be as educated as he is…..

Anyway my view is that if he is going to do a rave on paper towels then perhaps he will do a paper on the angels dancing query. They are both as useless as each other.

Altogether the guy seems to have a brain but has used it in weird ways.

"Are you commending Jordan Paterson for his take on paper towels?"

Absolutely not. Jordan Peterson is a complex individual, and has battled his own mental demons. I applaud much of his work, but he operates in a strange space and sometimes loses the plot. His post about paper towels is one of those times.

Thanks for outlining why you posted the clip – I understand better now. My beef is with the number of self-appointed critics of people like Jordan Peterson, particularly those who critique his comments without presenting a wider context or more of the actual tape of what the person says.

                • Incognito

Your beef seems bigger than you allege but don’t let this spoil your own confirmation bias.

                • Muttonbird

Did you watch Shanreagh's clip, even a little bit? Looks like you saw some criticism of Jordan Peterson and kind of lashed out.

                  • Liberty Belle

                    Yes, and no.

                    • Muttonbird

Well, you seem to suffer from poor comprehension because you can't see the difference between critical analysis (Shanreagh's clip) and uncritical reposting (your clips).

I suspect you immediately became defensive because you agree with Jordan Peterson on most things. He sticks it to the woke lefties which, given your comment history here, is right up your alley.

            • Muttonbird 1.1.1.1.2.2

About the closest you got with that comparison is the middle clip by Dr. Grande, who provided, you guessed it, zero context or footage.

I had never heard of theredbaiter before today.

It sounds like the desperate cry of a spoiled little brat who has had his candy taken away from him.

The problem with Hawkes Bay/Tairawhiti is a very New Zealand problem.

Hardly anyone lives there and when there is a nature event like this which makes a mockery of human attempts at harnessing ill-used land, building shitty stick houses, and crappy goat track roads, the repair is inevitably under resourced, and not cost effective.

Meanwhile, an extraordinary number of whingers sprout up complaining about the Maoris coming for their washing machines.

Fine, the NZ taxpayer will fix it, most having never been to the region and most probably never will, most don't even eat their apples because they cost too much. But it will take time and not everyone there will be happy.
