This blog offers up many opinions, but here’s a fact. John Key said in 2003 to the Rodney Times “New Zealand troops should be alongside their British and United States allies as they continue their invasion of Iraq”.
Here’s another fact. George W Bush would agree with Key. Like Key, George has trouble with the facts of history and mangles his rhetoric on everything from welfare to the reasons why the west should constantly wage war on the Middle East.
If New Zealand really wants to avoid the embrassment of electing our own George W Bush, we should listen carefully to John Key and look beyond his distortions of history and language.
Salon.com often presents a good read on American politics and this story on George W’s latest excuse for Iraq is no exception.
