Strong and Stable – guess National’s campaign slogan!

We’ve had the Brighter Future (it sucks). We’ve had The Cusp of Something Special (it wasn’t). What will National’s soundbite slogan be this time?

I’m guessing “Strong and stable government” or similar, strong and steady, strong and safe, along these lines. We will be warned “not to put it all at risk”, we will be told that the opposition is weak and inexperienced, not to risk a “coalition of chaos”, and so on.

These are pretty easy predictions, because these are the lines that the Tories are running in the UK, and our own Nats have had a habit of sharing the same overseas advisors, Crosby Textor. (Lovely folk: Theresa May’s election guru Lynton Crosby in tax haven scandal after pocketing six-figure sum.) Anyway, easy predictions, perhaps you can do better, bragging rights to whomever guesses correctly…

    Bill English could be

“The most innovative government since Spaghetti pizza”

Let’s face it, Natz strategy is to bore everyone to death in the hope their ‘active’ voters are the only ones awake to make the voting booths.

I’ve got one for Mr Little:
    “Time for a pay rise”.

Wage growth in New Zealand and Australia is 0% for the foreseeable future.

We work hard in NZ, don’t get well rewarded, and now have no mobility to Australia.
If we’re going to be stuck here, I’ll vote for the party that’s in my interests.

    National haven’t delivered for me.
