Talking Points Memo have put together a great compilation of Republican presidential candidates’ campaign ads stripped back to nothing but key lines. It’s certainly a time-saver to have all the bullshit taken out for you.

Top marks go to Tom Tancredo for managing to come across as a deranged reactionary even amongst a field of Republicans. I’ve watched the whole ad and yes, it really is that bad.

that’s great. i wonder how much of it’s already been story-boarded for the National campaign?

    Google Search; “Democrat Adstravaganza”

Did you mean: democrat asstravaganza ?

No, Google, No I didn’t… but you’re being added to ‘my favourites’ anyway.

  3. Good god what a thoroughly frightening bunch of reactionaries.

Phil – I noticed you have an odd obsession with arses and sodomy. I’m certainly not dissing you if you are gay but I suspect should probably get laid by a boy or something before you die of frustration.

Given that Tane’s the one searching this stuff out, I expect to see similar techniques appearing in govt ‘information campaigns’ mid netx year.

Yeah – ‘cos Tane’s not just some guy with a blog – he’s like the personal advisor to the PM in fact I’ve heard Tane is actually Heather Simpson! Get a life DS.

Oh, and I’m still waiting for that answer about your name.

Well, I could do that TDS, but better yet, why don’t you set up your own blog and do it yourself? It’s free you know, and you clearly have a lot of time on your hands.

Here, I’ll give you a headstart:

    Are you offering Robinsodomy?

If you’ve been holding out on me all this time, there’s so much we’ve been missing out on.

Glad to hear you’re not selective… or should we say ‘exclusive’?
