I agree Rob the Nats two tier attack has worked well, but Labours poor caucus discipline only helped make it more effective. As I am sure you are aware people are not going to elect a Party who's caucus is not disciplined, hence the" not fit to rule line".
No Darien its the behavior of the likes of you and your caucus mates that resulted in a 27% vote for Labour under Phil and a 25% vote for Labour under David. Stop blaming others Darien and look in the mirror. The poor Party vote for Labour for the last two...
wow Dariens had a road to damascus experience "its all about the people we say we represent" it's a pitty you didn't think of this over the last three years. If you had you would have been vocal about the appalling lack of discipline shown by some of your ...
Capital gains tax is an issue alright because all people hear is TAX. The ins and outs of does it apply to them was totally lost on most people.
I agree with stargazer on the merits of Nania's bid to be Labour leader. Nania in my view is just what Labour needs to take us forward. As a Labour Party member I have watched her operate for some years she is not unlike Parakura Horomia in that she does ...
Exactly Saarbo.
Its not a matter of dying in the ditch its a matter of cleaning house. Do you really think the behavior of these people is going to change if they dont get their own way. You may want to believe the likes of Parker and Shearer are good blokes but I no ...
You call publicly saying you have no confidence in a Leader loyal. Well bugger me you do have low standards it appears David Parker.
Hi David I would like to know from you why you thought it was in the interest of the Labour Party to publicly say you had no confidence in its leader David Cunliffe a leader we the members had elected. Secondly could you please tell us all what ...
"agreeing on a central purpose to unite us" we in labour have had this for years we dont need to find anything new david Parker. We just need a Caucus that will be disciplined and do the job members have elected them to do, operate in the parties/...
Totally agree with you Jenny Kirk and Ankerawshark. David Parker's statement re no confidence was totally inappropriate. David Cunliffe covered this guy for twelve months building him up as the deputy leader and before the election night was over he is ...
Nania is a great person she is humble, she has Mana she is a great listener and she is passionate about Labour's values. Most of all I believe she is trust worthy. Nania could actually be just what Labour needs. Thanks for standing Nania. :)
Got to love an articulate westiechick aye :) spot on
The members and Unions voted for Cunliffe to be leader Shearer lost remember. The members run the Labour Party and not caucus, its time MP's in caucus learnt there place, they have been given a privileged position to represent the party nothing more. ...
Lets not forget we/ Labour have also lost other good MP's like Leanne Dalzeil and Charles Chauvel. We cant afford to loose any more good MP's and have the likes of Shearer and the rest of the ABCers damaging Labour, its time the members got very active and...
I cannot believe David Shearers actions/statements in the Herald today. His hatred directed towards David Cunliffeis shame full and bring's the Labour Party into disrepute publicly should not have to be tolerated. What this show's to me is a man who is ...
Unbelievable behavior from David Shearer the article that he is quoted on in the Herald today certainly brings the Party into disrepute. Who the hell does David Shearer think he is, what a destructive nasty piece of work he is. Its David Shearer that ...
Robertson got third in the last leadership race. His supporters in caucus have actively worked against the Parties first ever member elected leader. He couldnt get on TV quick enough to have his turn and bagging Cunliffe. I use to think Roberston was an Ok...
agreed if the caucus can do this then I don't think Labour is a Party worth belonging to.
You conveniently miss a few crucial points while be oh so far minded Mr Botany. One he said he wouldnt stand and then was put in as a caretaker leader, two his public display of he couldnt support Cunliffe because .............. who the hell knows? 3 Its ...
If Parker stands it show's the Labour members he cant be trusted, what a Judas.
O'Sullivan is covering her arse for sure. Its often said we need better quality RWNJ's on the Standard, O'Sullivan is just that but nothing more. I would'nt give her to much credence MS, at the end of the day just like any Tory she does what's good for her...
Yeah Andrew is a good guy but has failed to get voters to elect him over a very average National Party MP in Jonathan Young. If you cant win NP which remember the likes of Harry Dynhoven has done multiple times why do you think you good get wider NZ to ...
What's repulsive is John Key using the Police to threaten anyone who dares speak against him or even when he is just having a conversation in public that a journo has innocently recorded. You are such a Hypocrite KK.
Who's harassing Jason Ede? Have the police done a ten hour source of his property?
Hit This weekends episode. I had same problem.
Exactly Chooky.
Hyperbole indeed its amazing to watch the level of personal attack directed at David Cunliffe. David did a good job against Key during the campaign no other person in that Labour Caucus would have done any where near as well.
Labour has not run a proper Party vote campaign since 1999 which is just unbelievable because it is so basic to winning in MMP. Labour's BillBoards hardly feature the Party vote Labour message and even when they do you cant read it when driving by. If you ...
+ 1
Personally I have had enough of some in the Labour caucus who are totally undisciplined. Shearer has been the worse by far, Grant has been more careful with his words. I dont think that that is because Grant is sage wise it's just Shearer is a total idiot....
