Talk like Sarah Palin

A new leader in the GOP establishment to make America great again. God bless the work ethic that you’re putting relationships on the status quo has spent his life looking up main thing, the main thing, and he doesn’t get to keep us safe economically and militarily.

Sanders vs Trump

Sanders is increasing his lead over Clinton in early states. Trump has just been endorsed by Palin. A Sanders vs Trump face off doesn’t seem as unlikely as it used to.

Palin not running

After months of playing coy, the latest from the the land of the Tea Party is that Sarah Palin will not be running for president.

Hoots overshoots

I see the NBR lost another 6% of its circulation last year, so I thought it was worth giving Matthew Hooton’s latest rant in that publication a wider audience. Hoots has a go at us and Clare Curran for criticising the violent rhetoric of Sarah Palin and the Tea Party. Apparently, holding people accountable for what they say is restricting free speech.

Giffords shooting fall-out

Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords survived the assassination attempt but the political fall-out has just begun. In the US’s strange post-modern politics, Obama’s speech is the most popular thing he’s done, while Sarah Palin screwed up badly. Meanwhile, guns like the one used are flying off the shelves and Arizona is relaxing gun laws further.

Back from the brink?

For years, the American Right has been ramping up its violent rhetoric. Sarah Palin and the Tea Party movement have encouraged their followers to think that their guns are all that stands in the way of a socialist coup. Now, the violence has become real and the Right has, largely, baulked. Will the Tea Party’s rhetoric be scuttled?

What is all of the fuss about?

There has always been an inherent design conflict in giving widespread access to information. On one hand it allows better service for people and organisations. That has always been the inherent conflict.

Good luck I say

It seems Sarah Palin is stepping up her campaign to be the Republican’s candidate to run against President Obama in 2012. The world couldn’t ask for a better candidate to oppose Obama: She won’t have a show in hell.

Pray you don’t get endorsed by Sarah Palin

Written By: - Date published: 10:00 am, July 30th, 2010 - 10 comments

A recent poll in New Hampshire showed that being endorsed by Sarah Palin was an immediate turnoff to moderate voters. Similarly the RWNJ’s of the ‘tea party’ have managed to succeed in getting ideologically ‘pure’ but politically lower quality candidates selected where the GOP has undemocratic systems in place. Is this the beginning of the end for the RWNJ’s in the US as voters reject their candidates? Now if only WhaleOil would endorse candidates here…

Palin supporters

Written By: - Date published: 10:53 am, December 7th, 2009 - 24 comments

Sarah Palin supporters, in their own words. Ok, it’s a cheap shot – I’m pretty sure you could eventually compile similar inane footage from the supporters almost any major political figure or party. But hey – never let it be said that I’m above cheap shots when it comes to Sarah Palin. Plus, it’s funny. […]
