    Just announced is the Labour candidate for East Coast Bays, Naisi Chen, immigrant from China. She is replacing the white guy who complained that as a white middle class man his prospects in Labour were limited.

    Only in recent weeks because of pressure from the opposition has NZQA got off their sorry asses and had a look at some of these ‘institutions’, or immigration rort vehicles as they should be known. Up until that point it was, as usual, zero government from the Nats.

    Little is on the money and several Nat cheerleaders in the media have admitted so either directly or indirectly.

    On how many fronts now are the Nats vulnerable?

    Immigration
    Housing
    Infrastructure
    Water quality

    This is what happens when your ideology is to not govern.

    And ACT wants to introduce Euthanasia with ‘safeguards’. They want even less government than the Nats so can you imagine how that’s going to turn out?

      Actually, their ideology is to:

      1. Prevent government getting in the way of rich people
      2. Helping rich people get richer
      3. Funnelling public money to rich people

    Just how stupid is David Farrar? Perhaps he’s not thinking straight because his own polling shows his treasured funding stream, the National party, is wrong on so many social issues just three months before the election.

    In a recent post after quoting Bill English saying:

    Mate, who thinks you can build 100,000 houses with another 1000 people?

    Farrar gets his stupid on and claims:

    So each person builds 100 houses each – that is about as realistic indeed as many of Labour’s policies!

    Farrar’s schtick is to paint Labour as poor at maths and comprehension but he just made a childlike claim there. Remember folks, it’s Farrar who is advising this government on policy direction…

      I watched the first one which involved a panel of 5 futurists basically saying driverless cars will be great. People will be able to work while they’re on there way to work. There didn’t seem to be much rational thinking going on.

    Climate change researchers cancel expedition because of climate change

    While assisting the Canadian Coast Guard with search and rescue, the scientists took advantage of their diversion to the Strait of Belle Isle, a waterway between Labrador and Newfoundland.

    Barber and his team began using their equipment on board the icebreaker to take samples and analyze the ice.

    They determined it was multi-year ice, not typical of the northeast coast of North America and most likely from the High Arctic. Chunks measured between five and eight metres thick.

    “This is the first time we’ve actually seen ice from the High Arctic,” said Barber, who has studied the impacts of climate change on sea ice for decades.

    “It’s very much a climate-change driven phenomenon,” said Barber. “When you reduce the extent of the ice and reduce the thickness of it, it becomes more mobile.”

        Cheers for the link, checking it out. He’s an interesting fellow, ex policy advisor for Thatcher, kicked out of UKIP, a journalist, public speaker and has even spoken to congress a number of times. He’s very passionate about his views on climate change, and with his British accent and diverse vocab he sells it well

        I’ve an open mind, but at present his views differ from mine.

          On the one hand you love to come across as ‘rational and even a tad ‘radical’ and up with the trends. Then on the other – aggressively name calling and demonstrating evidence of less an ability to think laterally , – and more of a propensity to adhere bloody mindedly to some particular agenda which you have to date , – never came outright and stated thus far .

          And all the while giving some vague nebulous hint at some as yet undisclosed adherence to some sort of Utopian Socialistic global governance with your constant refrain about ‘capitalism has never worked’.

    The whole global warming sham is a hoax. It was dreamt up and financed by the Bilderberg society .

    They had the motive, – those carbon tax credits were to have been collected through taxation by the govts of sovereign nations and then handed over to globalist bankers who then would have been in a position to impose even greater measures of taxation by the use of oil products, food production , plastics and the control of any one given nations natural resources.

    Including New Zealand’s multi trillion dollar iron sands and the mining of coal and other mineral resources in our National Parks. And our farm land usage by internationally enforced cattle fart taxes.

    Trump put a monkey wrench in the whole bogus operation by pulling out of the Paris accord.

    Its time we all stopped listening to the Rupert Murdoch global press and believing George Soros is a philanthropic left wing sympathizer.

    Face it… all of those people are nothing more than lackeys for what George Bush Senior labelled in speech after speech the ‘ New World Order ‘ .
