Just announced is the Labour candidate for East Coast Bays, Naisi Chen, immigrant from China. She is replacing the white guy who complained that as a white middle class man his prospects in Labour were limited.

    https://d3n8a8pro7vhmx.cloudfront.net/nzlabour/pages/5773/attachments/original/1490759609/Naisi_Chen.pdf?1490759609

That means the Labour candidates for electorates on the North Shore of Auckland are:
A Māori man, a Korean woman, an Indonesian woman, a Filipino man and a Chinese woman. All are immigrants apart from Shanan Halbert who is tangata whenua.

Green Party UBI policy (posting for someone on twitter)

    1. Universal Basic Income (UBI)

The Green Party supports a full and wide-ranging public debate on the nature of UBI and the details of a UBI system, and government funding for detailed studies of the impacts of UBI. The Green Party will:

    1. Investigate the implementation of a Universal Basic Income for every New Zealander.

Further evidence of the embedded corruption in the National government’s student ponzi scheme. Another failure which stinks of fraud.

    http://www.radionz.co.nz/news/national/332942/nznc-students-fail-english-test-after-course-closes

Only in recent weeks because of pressure from the opposition has NZQA got off their sorry asses and had a look at some of these ‘institutions’, or immigration rort vehicles as they should be known. Up until that point it was, as usual, zero government from the Nats.

Little is on the money and several Nat cheerleaders in the media have admitted so either directly or indirectly.

On how many fronts now are the Nats vulnerable?

    Immigration
    Housing
    Infrastructure
    Water quality

This is what happens when your ideology is to not govern.

And ACT wants to introduce Euthanasia with ‘safeguards’. They want even less government than the Nats so can you imagine how that’s going to turn out?

    • Draco T Bastard 3.1

This is what happens when your ideology is to not govern.

      Actually, their ideology is to:

      1. Prevent government getting in the way of rich people
      2. Helping rich people get richer
      3. Funnelling public money to rich people

That requires quite a lot of governing – mostly in ways that are harmful to the poor.

    • Muttonbird 3.2

Forgot to put in water export royalties. The Nats on the wrong side again so watch for a major flip-flop on this after they and their lackies claim ‘no one owns water’.

  4. Muttonbird 4

Just how stupid is David Farrar? Perhaps he’s not thinking straight because his own polling shows his treasured funding stream, the National party, is wrong on so many social issues just three months before the election.

In a recent post after quoting Bill English saying:

Mate, who thinks you can build 100,000 houses with another 1000 people?

Farrar gets his stupid on and claims:

So each person builds 100 houses each – that is about as realistic indeed as many of Labour’s policies!

Farrar’s schtick is to paint Labour as poor at maths and comprehension but he just made a childlike claim there. Remember folks, it’s Farrar who is advising this government on policy direction…

    • Cinny 4.1

Farrars desperation of late has been almost as amusing as his irrelevance.

Turns out the average voter couldn’t give a rat’s about his one eye opinions, most of them don’t even know who he is, but hey reality will kick in the day after the spring equinox. Super excited about that.

  5. Muttonbird 5

Jesus Christ. Did Jenna Lynch write this on her iPhone in an Uber on her way to a Young Nats meeting?

    http://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2017/06/immigration-crackdown-labour-hasn-t-considered-economic-impact.html

A pathetic shower of false conclusions from numbers plucked out of the air.

FFS, the policy is about student visas and Bling’s response is about construction industry workers! She too focusses the entire clip on low skill work when the policy is about exactly that student rooting the system. Would a decent journalist please kick Lynch in the butt and set about doing some proper work?

That’s before you get to the editing of the clip where Little says ‘no’ in a 1 second cut. The silly cow even admitted Little is focussing on quality over quantity which I’m sure is what most New Zealanders want. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.

    • pop 5.1

      Hey Muttonhead,

Show a bit of respect, your constant bullying of this woman is typical of the left. Did she turn you down or something? Name calling and threats of violence seems to be your MO. You are a typical keyboard warrior. Grow the fuck up.

      • Halfcrown 5.1.1

No Jenna Lynch wrote crap and when someone writes crap they should be pulled up about it. Is is not typical of the left, though I must admit the left is not as polite as the likes Hoskins who will bravely go for the vulnerable or those who are not in a position to answer them back.
Jenna Lynch has put herself in the media coconut shy So you will have to expect wooden balls thrown at her at times.

        • pop 5.1.1.1

Bullshit, this is the 4th or 5th time this keyboard bully has had a go at her, calling her names etc. just because he doesn’t like the FACTS she presents. He’s a typical leftie hiding behind a keyboard. Like I said time for him to grow the fuck up.

          • Halfcrown 5.1.1.1.1

Bullshit my arse I don’t know about the other times but this time it was a load of crap. Oh, I forgot anything written against Little and the left are FACTS and, tut tut must not criticise the commentators, might hurt their delicate right wing fucking feelings. especially as the National party are soooo squeaky clean and are maiki9ng one hell of a good job running this country. That me ole son is also fucking bullshit.

          • Muttonbird 5.1.1.1.2

Bit of an over-reaction from you but that’s typical of RWNJs when one of their own is scrutinised. That piece was tabloid clickbait and lazy, and I critiqued it as anyone is allowed to do.

‘Silly cow’ is pretty mild really. I think, along with being abusive, you are being precious.

  6. bwaghorn 6

the cambell /latter show on one is interesting stuff , talking ubi and other stuff tonight

    • ianmac 6.1

Yes bwaghorn. They said 71% of viewers voted for a trial UBI in NZ. They also said that over 300,000 people so voted. That is a significant audience. For a live broadcast they have kept it flowing. Wonder if it can be viewed retrospectively?
“What Next.” TV 1. Session 4 of 5 tomorrow night 8:30.

    • mauī 6.2

I watched the first one which involved a panel of 5 futurists basically saying driverless cars will be great. People will be able to work while they’re on there way to work. There didn’t seem to be much rational thinking going on.

      • Muttonbird 6.2.1

It’s the Libertarian effect. We must do what ever it takes to make it possible to slouch around and drink wine all day, and kill our old people when their time is up.

    • Draco T Bastard 6.3

The only way you can get a UBI working is by using it to fund the economy. Then it won’t be taxes that fund it but it funding everyone’s livelihoods.

      This

That would take educating everyone about how money really works.

    • Halfcrown 6.4

I thought it was a load of fucking crap We had these “Futurists” waffling on. I turn it off after about 15 minutes

What are a Futurists? Another made up yapping occupation, no doubt being paid too much who don’t do anything, apart from standing around yapping and expelling crap that does not have to be proven.

Can someone tell me how I can become one as I can predict the future very well like at 8 o’clock tomorrow morning it will be 8 o’clock

Climate change researchers cancel expedition because of climate change

While assisting the Canadian Coast Guard with search and rescue, the scientists took advantage of their diversion to the Strait of Belle Isle, a waterway between Labrador and Newfoundland.

Barber and his team began using their equipment on board the icebreaker to take samples and analyze the ice.

They determined it was multi-year ice, not typical of the northeast coast of North America and most likely from the High Arctic. Chunks measured between five and eight metres thick.

“This is the first time we’ve actually seen ice from the High Arctic,” said Barber, who has studied the impacts of climate change on sea ice for decades.

“It’s very much a climate-change driven phenomenon,” said Barber. “When you reduce the extent of the ice and reduce the thickness of it, it becomes more mobile.”

    My bold.

Wonder what this looks like in the satellite images.

    • You want an explanation of what they saw from the satellites? try this if you want a more scientific explanation ;

Cheers for the link, checking it out. He’s an interesting fellow, ex policy advisor for Thatcher, kicked out of UKIP, a journalist, public speaker and has even spoken to congress a number of times. He’s very passionate about his views on climate change, and with his British accent and diverse vocab he sells it well

I’ve an open mind, but at present his views differ from mine.

        Climate Misinformer: Christopher Monckton

For a comprehensive rebuttal of many of Christopher Monckton’s arguments, check out this presentation by Professor John Abraham. Abraham has compiled many examples where Monckton misrepresents the very scientists whose work he cites. Check out this PDF of Monckton quotes versus the scientists who in their own words explain how Monckton misrepresents their research.

Yeah, definitely not watching a half hour of a liar lying.

But I really don’t expect anything better from you as you are a denialist.

        • WILD KATIPO 7.2.2.1

Hehehe… in between all the abuse you like to hurl at anyone who disagrees with your pet ideas ‘, –
with abuse such as this one :

”Face it, you’re a fuckwit who’s in denial of reality.”

          …………………………………………

It becomes water off a ducks back.

          And heres why :

Ive been watching your comments over the last few years, both here and on The Daily Blog. Often, but not always abusive and patronizing. And if I didn’t know any better I would say you are not particularly ‘Left’at all.

However … are you prepared to admit this sort of thing?

Karl Marx Was Rothschilds’ Third Cousin – henrymakow.com
          https://www.henrymakow.com/…/Karl-Marx-Was-Rothschilds-Third-Cousin%20.html

And that perhaps those who push the global warming / climate change bandwagon are either lazy bigots themselves who feel the need to belong to a cause who either refuse to look into other information without aggressive abuse , – or deliberately align themselves fully with the globalist Rupert Murdoch MSM spin on the one hand , – yet swearing hypocritically on the other, they say they oppose that same spin.

When it suits , of course .

A curious position, if I may say so…

Then we have the likes of those who , when facts are pointed out to them , point blank deny and shout down those who present those facts… such as those who stated that the Bilderberg Society existed 50 years back … and those people were harangued as ‘conspiracy theorists’ and nutcases,

FIFTY YEARS LATER ,… it is now common knowledge that indeed not only does the Bilderberg Society exist , – but that they hold heavily secured annual meetings in secluded locations around the globe. And that they do not disclose the agendas under discussion.

Yet no system is 100% secure. If you had ever worked in security – that is one of the first things you will learn.

And one of the agendas discussed several decades back was the creation of a bogus pseudo science called back then : Global Warming. That wasn’t so easily proved so they changed the label somewhat a few years later on and renamed it ‘Climate Change’.

On the one hand you love to come across as ‘rational and even a tad ‘radical’ and up with the trends. Then on the other – aggressively name calling and demonstrating evidence of less an ability to think laterally , – and more of a propensity to adhere bloody mindedly to some particular agenda which you have to date , – never came outright and stated thus far .

And all the while giving some vague nebulous hint at some as yet undisclosed adherence to some sort of Utopian Socialistic global governance with your constant refrain about ‘capitalism has never worked’.

And yet YOU , – in all your audacity in calling others ‘deniers’- are the FIRST to block your ears and eyes in DENIAL.

          HYPOCRITE.

          • Draco T Bastard 7.2.2.1.1

However … are you prepared to admit this sort of thing?

Admit what? I don’t know nor care who’s cousin Marx was.

And that perhaps those who push the global warming / climate change bandwagon are either lazy bigots themselves who feel the need to belong to a cause

No, just people who accept the facts that the scientists have shown us.

And one of the agendas discussed several decades back was the creation of a bogus pseudo science called back then : Global Warming.

And now you’re going into the delusional space again.

That wasn’t so easily proved so they changed the label somewhat a few years later on and renamed it ‘Climate Change’.

Wrong. It was easily proved and still is but the correct term is Anthropogenic Climate Change.

            Ad Hominem

Actually, you just spouted nothing but BS and lies that you can’t back up.

In other words, it was all Ad Hominem and all because your feelings got hurt because your BS and lies you repeated got called out for what it is.

            • WILD KATIPO 7.2.2.1.1.1

Hahahaha…. keep it up baby , – deny , deny , deny – and when in a tight corner? – deny again.

No ones feelings got hurt here except possibly yourself. And as for backing things up ?

There’s a mountain of things I could post to back things up. But I’ll leave it there because A ) i’m busy tonight and B) those two posts seem to have elicited a typical response – first with obscene abuse, secondly with more of the same old trotted out hook line and sinker status quo quasi scientific narrative, and finally , a dissection of statements that still demonstrate your biased one eyed viewpoints.

It hasn’t gone unnoticed this pattern of yours about subjectively labeling everyone who disagrees with you , – and your habit of resorting back to subjective opinion and trying to end it with the old tried and true ‘Ad Hominem attempt at the final word.

              Like these pearls, for instance ;

              ………………………………..
And that perhaps those who push the global warming / climate change bandwagon are either lazy bigots themselves who feel the need to belong to a cause

‘No, just people who accept the facts that the scientists have shown us.

              * Annnnd… your among the people who ‘accept the facts’ and anyone else who presents facts that contradict your chosen subjective narrative by using scientific method are to be called ‘fuckwits’ and in ‘denial of reality’. Good balanced ability to take in all sides of the story without assumptions and mob mentality shouting down , you display there , Bud…

              ……………………………….

And one of the agendas discussed several decades back was the creation of a bogus pseudo science called back then : Global Warming.

‘And now you’re going into the delusional space again.’

              * Well , that’s a very bold and assertive assumption to be making again , isn’t it ?… seems to be a repeating habit of yours – tinged with the usual dose of implied superiority and put down sarcasm. And who are you to hand down judgement on something you obviously know nothing about ? Answer: You are not. Its obvious in your one eyed adherence you’ve never have even looked into the Bilderberg group , – so that negates your ability to make that bold assumption for a kick off.

              ……………………………….

That wasn’t so easily proved so they changed the label somewhat a few years later on and renamed it ‘Climate Change’.

Wrong. It was easily proved and still is but the correct term is Anthropogenic Climate Change.

              * And here we have a bad case of using Semantics to add some sort of unearned knowledgeable air of authority on a matter by splitting hairs ie ; instead of using the common term , – the urge to add ‘Anthropogenic ‘ was felt – as if that somehow gives ‘credibility ‘, changes the issue , and adds some type of legitimacy to your claims of ‘being easily proved and still is’ – to which may I add , – it hasn’t and has just been proven to be a complete and utter fabrication in the above video clips provided .

              Toorah , old chap.

      • Monckton. Monckton. Pleeeeaaaaase No, no, no. It’s not even funny, Wild. Not even as a joke.
        Monckton!
        Help me, Jesus!

        • WILD KATIPO 7.2.3.1

          That’s exactly right.

It isn’t funny when globalists use deceptions such as this climate change nonsense . Totally agree.

TWENTY SIX THOUSAND Britons died of cold related conditions during a recent winter – because of climate change?

          No.

Because of the Tory govt passing laws to be seen to be ‘fighting climate change’.

So consequently , they increased the price and taxation on gas for heating .

Whats a few old people , immuno – compromised , and small children’s lives between globalist friends , eh?

Hey – once the carbon tax credit billions start rolling in and enriching the elite bankers all will be sweet , eh?

We just wont mention the fact that the tax dollars / credits gathered from the west wont affect the outsourced western corporate’s in the third world that are not signing up , – yet create twice the pollution as those in the west,…eh.

          PILE OF CROCK.

  8. Or perhaps this if you want a more humorous and political explanation…

  9. The whole global warming sham is a hoax. It was dreamt up and financed by the Bilderberg society .

They had the motive, – those carbon tax credits were to have been collected through taxation by the govts of sovereign nations and then handed over to globalist bankers who then would have been in a position to impose even greater measures of taxation by the use of oil products, food production , plastics and the control of any one given nations natural resources.

Including New Zealand’s multi trillion dollar iron sands and the mining of coal and other mineral resources in our National Parks. And our farm land usage by internationally enforced cattle fart taxes.

Trump put a monkey wrench in the whole bogus operation by pulling out of the Paris accord.

Its time we all stopped listening to the Rupert Murdoch global press and believing George Soros is a philanthropic left wing sympathizer.

Face it… all of those people are nothing more than lackeys for what George Bush Senior labelled in speech after speech the ‘ New World Order ‘ . And if you support that , you are nothing more than abject nothing expendable stooges in the butt end of the South Pacific . Complete and utter nobody’s to them.

And they don’t give a damn about you.

Give it up while your still ahead.
