It’s the thread where a man on the internet made a claim that the 2008 FTA with China meant we couldn’t restrict house sales to Chinese nationals, and the only support for the claim was a blogpost by an Actoid and some inthread neoliberal interpretations of the agreement that kind of went around in circles and ended up nowhere.
I tweeted Turei, asking if their policy was workable in the FTA context, and she said they believed that restricting sales to NZ residents/citizens would work.

Treasury documents released under the Official Information Act reveal McCully met with Al Khalaf in Riyadh in April, where he also met with the Saudi Minister of Commerce and officials and hosted a function for interested New Zealand companies.
