Rough. If you talk to MSD atm they are pretty understanding and will usually keep your payments going while you wait for your new doctor/doctors appointment. Hope you find a good new doctor. It's hard. I've got bipolar and ADHD and my long term doctor retired last year and been seeing doctors who treat me like a criminal every month just for requesting my meds two days early so I don't have to go without them or doctors who think ADHD is made up nonsense or don't understand bipolar and want to put me on different meds. It sucks having to find a doctor that gets you. All the best.
Watch for Luxon to go hard on crime and gangs there's fertile ground withcall the recent violence in Auckland if he can also tie extended lockdowns and the spread of Covid to the gangs and add to that some vote that really disliked Judith and could see the Nats hit 35 pretty quick will just be a case of how much gets trimmed back off Act vs how much they get back from Labour.

I think he'll steal some votes off labour but I think labour just has to give nzers a decent summer and labour will go back up to mid 40s.
Long term labour needs to spend these two years delivering on housing, poverty and wins for the poor, young and middle. The saying Oppositions don't win governments lose could be apt if labour gets a term of unprecedented majority government and is seen to have wasted the opportunity. If labour is seen to have seriously delivered especially on housing and rents on top of being the one who "saved us from the worst of COVID" labours got nothing to worry about… If they don't… And don't campaign on anything that excited people. It's their election to lose.

Nah, the existing bases get the troops, the others in the sphere get soft power. E.g. Stuff today (wee line at the end of the report) suggesting that part of the problem in the Solomons is that US aid funding goes to the most populous island Malaita so the folks there worry that it'll dry up because the Solomons cut diplomatic ties with Taiwan, while the government is building relations with PRC (including a nice stadium and other development projects in the west and on Guadalcanal itself).
