I haven't been able to make sense out of what happened in Sri Lanka eg why they tried to transition to organic so upruptly. Was that an economic decision?
In NZ organic transitions usually take three years for organic certification.
Simply removing artificial fertiliser doesn’t make a farm organic.
It was a mix of circumstances,due to falling tourism from the Tamil instability,the church bombings ,and then covid all drains on the balance of payments.
With covid they used a lot of OS funds for health control,including vaccination etc.They tried to boost exports from agriculture etc,but high freight costs reduced margins.To stimulate the local economy they introduced tax cuts (which used OS funds) and they tried to increase prices for exports by organic farming (by being unable to pay for fertilizers etc)

Wasnt it strange when the civilians were escorted from the steelworks , in the buildup to the event or events it was speculated that the conditions that these civilians had been ' enduring ' must have been extremely difficult etc yet when they came out all had their belongings seemingly, they looked very clean the men looked freshly shaved and some even still had their dogs ! to me it looked for all the world that they'd just left a hotel or at least a reasonably well appointed backpackers .Just saying .

They ain't no catacombs, they're an underground township, a purpose built refuge for people during war.

They were self contained with their own facilities, including ventilation systems, power generation, a subway, and stores, designed and constructed to withstand a direct nuclear bomb strike, ensuring the survival and sustaining the 12000 or more people required to maintain wartime metallurgical production.
Apparently Ukraine began restoring and restocking the shelters as best they could following the 2014 invasion of Crimea.

I have been googling several key phrases and words, "Citizens of Mariupol Greet Russian liberators" was one. And I have not had a single hit.
No matter what phrases or combination of words I have entered into google, I have been unable to find any reference at all, of any citizens of Mariupol being glad to be liberated by Russia.

try looking up Patrick Lancaster hes on the ground there and been delivering aid and generaly helping people in the war zones for some time .He is a bit clunky but speaks english and passable russian talks to as many people on the street as he can find that will answer his questions tends to be a tiny bit dramatic at times but hey hes there and all sorts of things are flying around not just bullets !
