Today is 10 October 2010, a significant date for two serious reasons (neither of which I heard of in advance to do a post on dammit).
And for one silly one! 10/10/10 – 101010 – in binary it’s 42, the answer to life, the universe, and everything! (ht: slashdot) OK ok, so I’m an (elderly) geek – so sue me. But Douglas Adams was taken too soon.
Anyway, a good day to celebrate the meaning of life. Check out the two serious links too.

Huh. I just watched (again) “The Corporation” this weekend. Can’t say that I disagree with you!
Yeah … especially as corporations in the USA have the right of “Free Speech” – entitling corporations to invest as much as they like on the congressional candidates of their choice.
Yet conversely corporations are not subject to the “US 13th Ammendment” – restricting people from owning another person – even an imaginary person in the form of a corporation – no matter how psychotic they are.
Interesting that there is a day against the death penalty, and at the same time we have the 10-10 campaign where dissenters from the CO2 emissions reduction campaign are summarily executed by exploding a bomb under them.
